Jessica explained how she had gotten to this point in her life. She and her younger sister, Selene, were nine years apart in age. Her mother passed away during childbirth due to Amniotic Fluid Embolism.

Her father was a tech mogul a decade prior and after selling numerous inventions to companies based out of Silicon Valley, quickly rising through various publications as a rising star. Unfortunately, after his wife passed away, his drive and passion died with her.

He was unable to create and had turned to drugs and alcohol to cope with the depression. He burned through the billions of dollars faster than anyone could have imagined, and by the time Selene was four years old, everything had been lost.

As Jessica and Raia entered high school, they had sold the manor, and she was removed from the upper echelon private schools and re-enrolled into public schools. Working part-time jobs, the two girls were able to barely scrape a meager living.
