Of all the missions she had carried out, this was by far the worst. She was not a woman accustomed to defeat or failure. She had been taught to disregard the notion that "once bitten, twice shy." She strived to remain perfect, to be the strategist she had always been. She wanted to make plans and adhere to them. Even though they had covered their faces and ensured that no one could identify them, the men had still sabotaged the operation and left traces of their true identities.

"Fuck!" she cursed in frustration, drawing her M16 barrel shotgun on the bed as she paced around the room. This was an action that often calmed her or at least allowed her to relieve some of the pent-up energy and stress. She tried to recollect how everything had gone wrong, how they had to pull out because the intelligence they were given was insufficient. Someone should have informed them about what was waiting for them behind the walls of the Romano mafia empire.
