"Sir, I'm so sorry, I had no knowledge that they were your guests.'' the receptionist said in an apologetic tone.
the blonde said, eyes widening as her boss stepped foward. her lips parted to say something, but fear washed over them and she shut her mouth. When she look at Mrs Hayman, she noticed the sarcastic smile dancing on her lips. A beautiful woman relishing in the shame of the receptionist.
'' And did you check the reception guestlist? because I'm pretty sure that the woman gave you a name.'' Mr. Gonzalez said in an epic tone. both his hands rested on his back as he comfortably Strode forward standing before Mrs. Heyman and her daughter.
''I am afraid I did not, I expected them to give me both their names,'' she answers in an awfully confident voice.
'' you are fired, '' He atters, fist clenched as he steps forward.
''Sir?'' the blonde asks.
"You are paid to do one job, confirm the reservations of the guests that will receive other than causing trouble with them first. feel free to pack your belongings and leave, your salary will be disbursed to you at the end of this month.'' not waiting for the blonde to respond, Mr Gonzalez turned to Mrs. Heyman and her daughter.
"Emma, I'm so glad you could make it,'' he says in a joyful tone, he glances towards the receptionist who was currently being escorted by the guards that he replaced at the doors.
'' Mr. Gonzalez, I'm terribly sorry I did not expect to make such a poor introduction.'' Mrs. Hayman responded.
'' I'm the one who should be apologizing here, the staff I have hired are incompetent and so full of themselves, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience caused.''
" don't beat yourself up about it, it's not like this is our first meeting. you do not need to make a perfect impression on me because I already respect and trust you. speaking of which, meet my daughter, Jessica.''
Jessica's mother pushes her forward gently bringing her into the light so that Mr. Gonzalez can have a better look at her. something about the way the old man's eyes wrecker body makes Jessica uncomfortable. she feels tiny and intimidated under his gaze and hopes that her mother will do something to ease the situation.
"And there she is, how are you, beautiful?'' Mr. Gonzalez questions capturing Jessica's hand in his as he kisses the back of her open palm, slightly bowing. The remnants of his saliva makes her cringe but she's in a salty smile and a polite voice.
"Nice to meet you, sir, I'm good.''
her response causes the man to chuckle, loving her innocent and politeness.
''I can already tell she is well mannered and will not be much trouble to me.'' Mr. Gonzalez says addressing Jessica's mother. Jessica is unable to trail along with their conversation and feels as though it is being spoken in riddles. when her mother had told her that she was going to find her a suitor, Jessica suspected that maybe her mother was finally ready to let her interact with the world. she thought that she would make a friend.
" Come on my dear, Let us have a seat right over there. I'm having the chefs prepare a special meal.'' Mrs. Heyman is smiling, she loves the impression that Jessica has made over the man. Even though she was not even trying, Mr. Gonzalez loved the Innocence of Jessica. he wanted a woman who was quiet and well-mannered enough to submit to him. he did not want a wild soul or a woman who wanted to be independent. the way that Mrs. Hayman, had trained Jessica, made her completely polite and still vulnerable to the world.
Mr. Gonzalez pulled a chair over and invited Jessica to sit in. still confused, Jessica smiled politely at the month as he sits across the beautifully decorated table. the set of forks and knives that was placed neatly and orderly on the table showed the exquisite taste in cutlery and the standards of the hotel.
'' I see you love the arrangement of the forks.'' Mr. Gonzalez said watching her every expression.
'' the Golden color compliments the tablecloth. ''Jessica responds absentmindedly.
" she's a big lover of interior design. I think to her it applies in a way I'm also making sure that everything is aligned to perfection. she just loves designing and making things compatible.'' Jessica's mother explains as though, for the first time it is something that she loves about her daughter.
'' well, I sure as hell see how much we are compatible with your daughter. she will make such a wonderful wife for me.'' the sentence captures Jessica's attention to the fullest. the mention of that word suddenly makes her figure out the equation happening around her. glancing over at her mother, she expects an explanation or perhaps a denial but she only sees a beautiful smile dancing on her mother's lips.
"Mother, '' she calls out.
