Near the Valley.
At the border of Land of Fire.
The fight between Hiyashi and Gari had completely changed the landscape all around.
Disfigured and ruptured ground filled with large craters all around, along with obliterated trees, was the proof of an intense battle.
*Swish*
A sudden breeze of air swayed the hair of two figures, standing near a large crater, maintaining a plausible distance between them.
"Haha!! I never expected Konoha to have a kid like you."
"Seeing that look of unconcern on your face excites me more than anything else now!"
"Hmm~ but I do wonder...where do you get that confidence from?"
Said the older figure with an amusing smile on his face; a deep slash on his left cheek was visible.
That previous demonstration of Izuna's lightning attack left a scar on his face together with a tint of amazement.
His speed and strength astounded Gari, who despite being on guard couldn't successfully evade his lightning Kunai.
"I don't think... I need to tell you that, do I?"
Gari's question was followed by Izuna's mocking remark, who met his eyes.
"Heh. What a cheeky little brat you are..."
Gari had a sickening expression on his face as he said in an annoyed tone, his fingers roamed around the wound on his cheek.
'Here it comes!'
Izuna thought to himself with an expression full of excitement, as he sharpened his senses.
Even though his opponent was an S-Rank rogue Ninja, Izuna expressed enthusiasm to fight against him; the corner of his lips curled into a soft smile.
'I have to be careful of every move I make...'
A quick thought ran into his mind looking at Gari's sharp eyes, giving him a dangerous look.
Izuna knew very well that one moment of mistake could easily overwhelm him.
Even though he has enough strength to destroy boulders and defeat any normal Jonin, it still doesn't change the fact that he is still 6 years old and lacks experience against someone like Gari.
Despite these odds, and not forgetting who he was facing, the calm smile was still visible on his face.
"Haha!! Here I come..."
*BOOM!!*
An explosion from Gari's palm followed after his loud laughter, as he became a blur and rapidly moved towards Izuna.
"Be careful, Izuna..."
"Un."
Izuna heard Hizashi's tired yet worried voice, taking his advice into the account, he nodded at him while taking a calm breath and became ready to face his opponent.
"Fire Style! Fireball Jutsu!!"
Without letting Gari a chance to shorten the distance between them, Izuna quickly made some hand signs, and an enormous orb of fire erupted from his mouth.
"What in the world...!!"
"Huh?"
The speed of his hand signs left both Hizashi and Gari in bewilderment; they couldn't even follow the movements of his hands.
They were elite and experienced Ninja and that's why it amazed them.
"Haha!! I've to give it to you brat...you really are unbelievably strong for your age."
Gari's expression showed that his expectations were worth it, as he said while looking at the incoming humongous fireball.
Izuna's fireball raced at him, arriving at a breakneck speed while scorching the ground on its path.
"Explosion Release! Landmine Fist"
But Gari, instead of trying to dodge the attack, smirked and released an enormous amount of white smoke, followed by a red explosion from his fists.
*BOOM!!*
An enormous explosion shrieked in the area around them as his Explosion Release and Izuna's Fire Style impacted.
*Whoosh*
The impact of their attacks sent a massive wave of air, followed by an incinerated deep crater on the ground.
"Hehe, brat... Did you think you could take me down with just- eh?!"
Standing at the center of the explosion, Gari laughed, but his words came to an abrupt halt as he felt a rapid chill down his spine; not being able to find Izuna in his previous spot.
"Oh~ but I don't quite remember saying that."
'Huh?'
"Zzzzz!!"
Izuna's words caused him to turn around, and upon seeing the meter-long lightning blade in his hands directed towards his heart, his eyes widened in surprise.
Puff...
Not only his attack was extremely fast, but also sudden, leaving Gari no room to react and dodge, as his lightning blade penetrated his chest.
'Damn it! To think he'd use his attack to corner me into that position...'
Gari, who jumped high into the air, cursed with a sickening expression on his face, blood dripping out of his wound.
He somehow evaded the attack by shifting his body and directing it away from his heart, or else he'd have been a lost cause.
The corner of Izuna's lips curled into a smile, as everything until now went just as he planned.
"What?!!"
His smirk rose a dangerous premonition in Gari's heart, who felt a scorching heat on his back.
'But when...?'
Noticing his Shadow clone erupting an enormous fireball just behind him in the air, startled Gari.
The same gigantic fireball which caused him into a corner flew and arrived at him at a breakneck speed.
Gari still couldn't comprehend the way his attacks followed with amazing speed, but he didn't have time to dwindle on that and take care of his Fireball.
"Explosion Release! Landmine Fist!!"
His eyes reflected the sight of the enormous fireball and his body felt its heat, as white smoke and a red explosion erupted from his fists.
*Boom!*
'What?'
But unlike what he expected, the power behind his explosion lacked far behind what was needed to cancel out the Fire Style Jutsu.
'No wonder...'
A sudden realization struck Gari feeling the numbness in his whole body, caused by Izuna's previous lightning attack.
The lightning blade which previously penetrated Gari made his body extremely numb and thus couldn't exert his explosive Chakra accurately.
"Wind Style! Immense Breakthrough!!"
The corner of Izuna's lips curled into a smile, followed by quick hand signs, as he expelled a tremendous gust of wind from his mouth.
"Eh?!"
'Ah, damn it!'
Gari, who had a fireball coming toward him, cursed after seeing the enormous gust of wind. His eyes, wide open, foreshadowed what was to follow.
*Whoosh*
*BOOM!!!*
The Fire Style and the Wind Style impacted Gari at the same time; his expression seemed to have frozen.
The massive fireball impacted his back, while the immense gust of wind further enhanced its power; a highly concentrated massive tornado of fire was its aftermath.
The giant tornado of fire, which engulfed Gari, burned everything in its vicinity while generating turbulent heat waves.
"What in the world..?"
Hizashi muttered in a low voice, looking at the magnificent way Izuna fought his enemy.
It certainly was true that Izuna fought Gari, who was in a somewhat weakened state after his fight against him; but looking at him, taking control of the entire battle, Hizashi couldn't help but marvel at the sight.
*Swish*
Thud...
The fire tornado finally vanished, revealing a figure who landed with a loud thud at the center of the crater, raising dust in the air.
A severely burnt and injured Gari came into his vision, who had blood streaming down his whole body; mostly from his left arm, which was nowhere to be seen.
*Cough!*
"You dammed brat, I should have killed you when I had the chance!!"
Gari had deep wounds and burn marks of extreme severity all over his body, as he coughed up some blood.
Looking at the young Ninja, who was responsible for his current condition, he couldn't help but curse.
"Well, you are a little to put it to the test, don't you think?!"
Said Izuna, who was standing at the outer edge of the carter, with the usual indifferent expression on his face.
But his unconcerned expression was what pinched Gari the most, and his face showed it all.
"Now, ready for the second round?"
Izuna's words raised the alarm in Gari's mind, and he was now truly aware that he shouldn't have underestimated the kid.
His blemished condition was the result of his fatal mistake to brush aside the probability of something like this happening; he didn't want this fight against Izuna to be the last one.
"Haha!! During the entire time, you never ceased to amaze me."
"But this is just the start... Now, show me what you've got, you brat!!"
