Do you believe in reincarnation?
If that question was voiced to Ilia Aslanov, the boy would say that he does believe it.
Why would he give such an answer?
Isn't that obvious?
Ilia Aslanov is not Ilia Aslanov. His true identity was Pasha Mehran, a man who was born in Persia and died somewhere in Iraq. A bullet pierces his head on his way back to the headquarters after he is done with his mission.
He along with his terrorist friends were unlucky.
Wait a minute, a terrorist?
Exactly, Pasha Mehran is not a good man. He is the kind of man who will do anything as long as he gets clean or dirty money.
He's doing bad things. He killed, bombed public places, robbed, and carried out human trafficking. He did those crimes act in the name of justice.
Of course, that justice came from the point of view of the terrorist group he belongs to. He knew well that there was no justice in all of the mission and things he did. But because he didn't have a way out of that hell, he keep doing those things.
Pasha Mehran or now Ilia Aslanov has an evil past.
Does he regret his actions?
Yes, he regrets it deeply and he wishes for a change.
His wish to change may have been a naïve form of escape but now, Ilia is trying to be a good man. He will reject violence and lawlessness act as best as he can.
In this new world, a world similar to earth but with some differences, Ilia is a good and kind sixteen-year-old boy.
He realizes that differences between cause eleven years ago, after being reincarnated and able to move freely, he search for the information and the common truth about this strange world.
He does wonder if this world had magic, spiritual energy, or something like that. Why does he think something like that? Well, of course, he dreamed to experience a thrilling adventure or a fight against a monster, just like in the book he had read. But unfortunately, such dreams and magic do not exist.
So, with a hint of reluctance, he accepted the fact that this world was normal. Without the possibility that he could do anything beyond reason. A dream to have a normal life as a good person was more than enough.
Now, in the teacher's room, using a photocopier, he made a bundle of homework that he would later share with all his classmates.
This was an important job entrusted by a female, sexy teacher. So, this short black-haired boy did the job in earnest. His blue eyes fixed to the touch screen in the control panel to make sure he did no errors.
Well okay, he might be forced to do the job because the teacher is lazy but he doesn't think of it as a problem. He did a good thing, which is to help his sexy teacher. And... he was more than happy to do it.
Ilia brought the finished bundle of homework out of the teacher's office. The second floor of the east wings on the north side of this building became his destination. That place is where his class - class 2-E - was. It wasn't that far, just needing to climb two sets of stairs with more or less three minutes of walk.
As a student, Ilia had a normal life.
For the past sixteen years, he lived a life that he found satisfying. He has friends, hobbies he's always dreamed to do, he eats good food, hangs out for fun, and most importantly, he's far from violence or bloodshed.
The life he has now is a decent one. It's a lot different from the life of a terrorist he lived before.
Ilia is happy but he still has one unfulfilled dream or maybe a wish.
"I want a girlfriend," he whispered.
He couldn't help but say that as he saw a pair of students, holding hands walking past him. He felt tormented when he saw several pairs of lovers flirting with each other along his way to his class. Then, his heart felt being stabbed mercilessly when accidentally, he saw a couple that was hiding under the stairs, kissing.
"I told you someone would see us!" The girl scolded the boy who kiss her. A moment later, she strode away with flushed cheeks.
Seeing that, Ilia shouted, "Damn it!" In his mind of course.
He didn't want to voice his frustration or more precisely, his envy of that kissing out loud. He didn't want to humiliate himself and looked like someone desperately wanting to squeeze a girl's t*ts by doing that shouting.
"I'm sorry you saw it, Ilia," said a blond, charming boy with blue eyes. He smile as he walked up to Ilia.
"Damn it! Roy!" In the end, Ilia shouted out his thoughts. He looks like a desperate man who wanted to squeeze t*ts.
Feeling upset, he walked away, leaving his childhood friend. Roy who didn't want to be left behind instantly chased after him.
"You have to find a girlfriend and unleash your libido wildly. Seeing the pathetic expression you show every time you see me flirting with a random girl makes my heart bleeding," Roy said as soon as he arrived at Ilia's side. He then took half of the bundle of homework from Ilia's hands.
"Seriously, you said something like that to me!?" Ilia glared at Roy sharply. "Your heart doesn't bleed at all when you see me suffering. You're happy with that. You must be taking revenge on me because for the past few days, I didn't allow you to copy my homework."
"I'm not such a nasty person who does such a thing because of such a trivial matter."
"But you did it."
"Hahaha... Sorry about that. By the way, what papers are these?" Curiously, Roy began to read the paper he was carrying.
"Homework from Mr. Soekarto," replies Ilia shortly.
"Damn it! Isn't this a legendary math homework that's tough to be done!?"
"You're too dramatizing it, this task can be done easily if you reread the chapters twelve to fourteen on the math book we used. And you need to remember, I still won't let you copy my homework."
"Come on, are you still angry about it?"
Ilia glared at Roy furiously. The hatred was there as he whispered, "You sent me a s*x video you did with that innocent girl! And shit, I can't blackmail you because you do a good job to hide your face and voice."
Roy smiled and says, "I just want you to know how much fun young men's lives are. And you need to know, that girl is a b*tch. She's cheating with other men more than I'm with other women."
"I don't know how your relationship still last and… I don't care about it anymore. Talking to you will only hurt my heart." Ilia accelerates his pace, leaving Roy behind. Of course, Roy tries to catch up with him again.
Minutes later, the two of them arrived at their class.
Without hesitation, Ilia walked up to the teacher's desk then stood behind it. Meanwhile, Roy began to distribute the homework he carried to the students.
"Okay, everyone, sit down! I'll hand out the homework for today!"
"Teacher Ilia, don't talk much, just share the paper with us as Roy did," said one male student in a joking tone.
"That's right! Don't seek attention too much!" Said the other one.
"You'll be a virgin forever if you keep doing such disgusting things!" An insult voiced by a girl.
"I'm not a virgin!" Ilia protested.
Seconds later, everyone in the class laugh out loud.
In the end, Ilia handed out the homework with exhaustion and a hint of shame. And never did he expect, another joke he said to hide his shame would make him have to talk to Angelina - the number one belle of his school - and then cry because of a broken heart.
The second break was over and Ilia had to stop his tears. He, along with other students had to prepare themselves for the next lesson.
So, an episode in which he has to use his still-chaotic brain to understand the lessons that were conveyed by the teacher lasted for four hours. He was freed from that hell after the last bell rings.
Fulfilling a promise to help with the practice, right away, Ilia goes to the gym to meet up with the basketball club.
Moving his body for an hour and a half made the wounds in his heart heal slightly. But still, the agony of being rejected by the number one belle hadn't gone away. His heart still bleeding as he walks to his modest apartment.
"Damn it!" Still upset, Ilia kick a soda can in the street. Intentionally or not, the can went straight into a trash can not far from where he was.
He doesn't have a girlfriend not because he hasn't tried to talk to the girls or because he's being avoided by the girls. He can get a girlfriend with an effort. However, the thing that prevents him from getting a girlfriend is one condition that he imposes on his future girlfriend.
Ilia wants his girlfriend to have an adult mind.
His past life experiences and the new experiences he had in this world made his mental age over fifty years old. Having a girlfriend with a young mindset, feel so wrong from various angles for him.
He doesn't like older women so this problem goes on.
A little desperate or perhaps so desperate, Ilia decides to visit the Wishes Come True Fountain, an object in an urban story that is believed to grant all wishes. And better yet, one only needs to pay 10 credits or less for their wish to become true.
Standing in front of the fountain, he didn't hesitate to throw all the money in his wallet. He let all his credits unite with hundreds or maybe thousands of credits that had already sunk at the bottom of the fountain.
Ilia put his hands together and closed his eyes, in his heart, he whispered his wish. *I wish I'd got a girlfriend soon. I accept anyone as long as she is beautiful.*
After she finished with his wish, Ilia walk away. He never knew, a black-haired girl who was on the other side of the fountain observed his actions with her blood-red eyes.
