"Miss Cruz? Is something the matter?" Zeronis asked.

Maria's train of thoughts was cut off with that. She wanted to smack herself so hard for losing herself there. Instead of a careless smirk, she was greeted with a rather overly serious demeanor of a man who had punished her in bed.

The thing she had noticed, Zeronis Villan's natural blonde hair was dyed black and the color of his eyes was hidden behind the chocolate brown contacts. He was definitely taking the low-profile choice. 

However, Maria thought that he failed in that arena. Though he hid those qualities, his very presence stood out still.

With a dried throat, she forced herself to accept his hand and shook it briefly but such contact only led her to reminisce again. She immediately composed herself. Looks like this job won't be walking in the park anymore.
