Soon, the meeting began, and Charlotte Cooper awkwardly sat on Henry Russell's lap, feeling relieved that it was a voice conference, or else she would have been utterly embarrassed.
She looked up at Henry and marveled at him again, thinking that this man was truly perfect, even his side profile was incredibly handsome.
Of course, Henry didn't know what was going on in Charlotte's mind. Right now, he was irritated by the proposal presented by the marketing manager, and a growing aura of anger emerged around him.
However, when Henry remembered Charlotte in his embrace, he softened his momentum to avoid startling her.
The marketing manager had no idea why the president had suddenly become so amicable, but the secretary knew it was because he didn't want to frighten their beautiful madam.
As before, Charlotte played with Henry's hair or stared out the window, bored, and during a lull in the meeting, she reached out to his hair once again.
