As soon as she finished speaking, many of those who were auditioning looked over.
Everyone in the circle was familiar with Charlotte Cooper. To them, for her to audition for Noah Johnston's film was pretty much a joke.
Charlotte glanced at the people around her with varying expressions and sneered, "Investor? Are you doubting Noah's character? Do you think he's the kind of person who would let investors arbitrarily assign roles for the sake of money?"
The actress' face changed.
"Of course not, but..." She couldn't think of how to explain it.
Charlotte's audition wasn't just for an investor to see, Noah and the screenwriter were there too. How did she pass their test? Could it really be based on her acting skills? She looked at Charlotte and felt that it was unlikely.
The atmosphere was tense for a moment, and the crew members responsible for the scene saw them gathered and came over to inquire what had happened.
