Alex suddenly felt something was not right when Mia's face suddenly flashed with a bright smile and she mumbled something which Alex was able to hear thanks to his high level, her words were…

Those were the words Alex heard before Mia suddenly threw herself backward, the man holding her did not expect this at all and was unable to react before the dagger stabbed into the green-haired woman from behind.

"Shit!" He cursed upon realizing that his only chance of survival was gone just like that.

Before he could even blink, a strong gust of wind blew on his face and Alex was suddenly in front of him.

Alex's right hand caught his neck in a firm grip while his other hand caught the falling Mia and held her by her waist.

Mia's face had a warm smile when she suddenly found herself in Alex's arms during her last moments, she could not ask for anything more than this.
