"Or don't I have a say in the divorce?" she asked, anxiously glaring at the barrister.

And everyone threw their stare at her

Eva stood by with her hands folded and eyes staring hostily at Mrs. Fanny.

"Of course my dear, you have a say but right now they have to decide who will take care of you until you are able to foot your bills or better still get married to a man."

Mrs. Fanny shook her head, "With my full chest I agree that he takes full custody of his damn daughter's upkeep. As much as I know I have no daughter. The only legitimate child I have is this one in my womb right now

Eva was much infuriated now. She wanted to keep back but there was no stopping her. She wouldn't want to interfere in a family dispute. But why would she curse Kate in her presence. She wanted to keep back but she couldn't fight back the urge to talk back at Mrs. Fanny since Kate wasn't going to do that anyways.
