Chapitre 114: Break Down

"We were friends at once, close friends, but then misunderstanding occurred. We separated paths. Although it wasn't on a civil note, the issue wasn't huge enough for him to have a grudge."

"Kayden isn't the one to be pointlessly petty. Whatever happened, it should be big," commented Lucian.

"I went eight years ago, leaving everything behind. Did anything big happen then?" she voiced out.

"Eight years ago," mumbled Lucian before going through his memories.

Seeing how his expression went gloomy and he fell into silence caused creases to appear between both of her eyebrows. 

"What happened?" Laura asked.

"Eight years ago, that's when Kayden's parents passed away. It was an unfortunate incident," he answered.

This made shock cross through her eyes, and Laura questioned, "When?"

"In June."

Hearing that caused her eyes to widen due to shock. It was in June that she left the country.
