Chapitre 59: Arrested

Valerie's head felt awfully heavy when she woke up. She found herself sleeping on the bed. She removed the covers and got up before checking the time. She had been gone for more than a day.

As she was about to walk to the washroom, she recalled what happened before she lost control. Lucian had uttered those harsh words that crushed her heart. Although her mood was better now, those faint aches existed.

Nevertheless, Valerie cleaned herself up and stepped out of the room. Upon noticing that Lucian hadn't woken up yet, she prepared for breakfast. While she ate, she waited for him to show up.

When he did, Lucian didn't pay her a glance before heading towards that door. This made Valerie open her mouth and ask, "Are you not going to eat?"

He then looked at her. His gaze was filled with so much hostility that it almost startled her. She was used to him looking at her gently these days. That's why, this shook her up easily.
