Chapitre 62: Chapter 17: Preparing for the Inevitable.
In Momo's room.
The mother and daughter pair smoothly interrogated the girls for each and every detail till they were satisfied and then proceeded to answer each and everything they did not know about Yuki, even the accursed photo album was dragged out into this mess.
"Yuki was so cute as a baby. Oh Gawd, he's so sweet, he looks like a little man despite being a baby. Hey Mel, look at this, Yuki with wings and a halo… wow it really suits him." Himiko was ohhing and wowing over the pictures.
Mellissa looked at the picture and was really spellbound at Yuki's cuteness, but even more so how natural the props looked, or was it CGI?
"Just how did you make the angelic effect; the CGI looks absolutely real and even I can't find any signs that it was even edited," Mellissa asked as she tried to find a logical explanation.
Momo and Suzume looked at each other and chuckled. "That's a real picture, that's just his quirk Gabriel that makes him an angel."
The girls were shocked and Mellissa the most, because there is not a single mention of Yuki's quirk anywhere despite all his fame and renown.
"He has a quirk?" Himiko asked with round eyes and Mellissa looked at the mother and daughter pair expecting some more information.
But before they could continue they heard a knock on the door.
*KNOCK KNOCK*
"Yes?" came a beautiful voice, asking who it was outside the door.
"It's me, Yuki, would you mind me joining you ladies for a chat?" Yuki asked in a soft voice.
There was no reply and after a whole minute of fussing around, the door was opened by Momo. The room was the perfect description of what a princess' room should look like, only a bit messy due to the four fumbling around.
Yuki entered the room and took a chair while the girls were on the bed, already changed into their loungewear. He just smiled as he spoke with a smirk on his lips, "so, how's my illustrious image holding up, still alive?"
Suzume chuckled while Momo looked away, Mellisa trying to pierce a hole through Yuki and Himiko, she was the only person who had a smug face that clearly said, 'I dare you to tease me now.'
"Dead it is, *sigh* It is what it is, and all we can do is pray for its peaceful passing. Regardless, I come bearing gifts, Momo, since you can't be a hero, because there are no heroes anymore and joining the Special Forces would be idiotic since you own THE GUARD, here is my suggestion, be a businesswoman instead." Yuki said as looked at Momo's contemplating countenance.
"Mellissa, you are to join Thanatos and see how I do things and take over within six months, up for the challenge?" Yuki asked an excited-looking Mellissa.
"Himiko, I want you to help people in my place. Learn how it's done and then do it how you want to, you will deal with all the humanitarian and charitable projects I have, and you better brace yourself, it's a big challenge. You know what, give me a surprise and I will stop treating you like a kitten, so, are you in?" Yuki smiled provocatively at Himiko only to see her amber eyes burning with a flame of determination.
"No gifts for mama?" Suzume pouted.
"How could that ever be the case, please take care of the Kingdom chain along with the Paradise chain <construction company> and the little autonomous chains that help sustain the KINGDOM. Since it's the biggest responsibility, I am adding a bonus. Since my dream is coming to shape, let me fulfill your dream, you will have a granddaughter by the time you wake up tomorrow." Yuki smiled.
The girls froze in shock, while Suzume was curious and at the same time thinking about the granddaughter.
"What? Who's the mother? Where did you hide your girlfriend and why on earth did you get her pregnant before you even got married, are you sure you are my brother and the child is yours, I mean it's impossible, just how?" Momo shot questions like an AR, till she ran out of bullets or air to speak and started wheezing.
Yuki had multiple black lines on his forehead, he just gave her a telekinetic chop on her head and sighed. "No, I don't have a hidden girlfriend and I most certainly did not get anyone pregnant. I found mum a granddaughter and you better brace yourself and do your best not to be a sloppy aunty." He smirked at the end while looking at Momo with a face that said 'hah, payback'.
"Where did you find her, and most importantly why are you giving away all that you have built, tell me what you are planning?" Suzume had an astute look on her face as she looked at her son who was behaving like a soldier who knew that he won't return.
'What's up with women and their intuitions? I swear I will have my answer once I meet pops this time.' Yuki thought as he smiled at his mother.
"Well, it's not like that I am planning something complicated, all that I have built to this day was for the sole purpose of my dream and now that it's almost done, I am giving them to the ones I can trust to keep them. After I fetch my little daughter, I will simply retire until the world that I built faces imminent destruction. All those years I missed out on family time, I will make up for it and with interest." Yuki smiled.
'Why do I feel like he is hiding something and why is my heart hurting?' Suzume thought to herself as she looked at the children bantering with smiles pasted on their faces.
They chatted away and played some board games together till dinner was served and after that, they went to their respective rooms preparing themselves for the next day, and more importantly for Yuki's daughter.
No matter how much they asked, Yuki did not give a single spoiler about his daughter to be and only said that she would be here by the time they woke up. Himiko decided to stay awake to welcome her but was flatly rejected by Suzume who said, "children who don't sleep properly don't grow up" in a motherly tone and dragged Himiko to sleep.
Momo on the other hand took the chance to have a little jab at Yuki, "Nee~ Yuki, you will become the father and all, but what about the mother? You don't even have a girlfriend, fufu~"
"What part of retirement did you not understand? Why on earth would I voluntarily deal with some troublesome woman or go through the trouble to find one that is not troublesome?" Yuki spoke flatly, while Momo's face twitched, Mellissa was blushing with her face covered.
Momo did not relent, "but a child needs a mother and I am sure that you are perfectly incapable to handle children, much less raise your own."
"Who says I can't handle children, ask mum and she will vouch for the fact that I raised you as much as she did. But a mother is important, can't have my daughter look at other's mothers and be sad or envious. Very well, since you have the least to do in life, you can be the mother and I am not taking any excuses or negative replies." Yuki spoke his verdict.
"You idiot Yuki, I am going to join UA and be trained to be a Special Forces commander, and then after I graduate as the valedictorian, I will take over THE GUARD. No need to persuade me otherwise, I am not taking a no for an answer." Momo spoke with the same tone of authority as Yuki.
'Well, they are twins alright' Mellissa chuckled seeing Momo who looked so much like Yuki now, even their postures were the same.
Meanwhile, Yuki sympathized with a certain Potions Master who was in quite a similar position as him as he said, "You dare use my spells against me, Potter?"
His voice was soft and the excited Momo did not hear it but Mellissa who did was confused as to what Yuki said and smiled. Seeing her curious look, Yuki smiled again, "that was a famous dialogue by a great wizard when a noob tried to use his own spells against him."
A/N: It is decided that the next world would be Soul Land and I want to try something interesting for the next arc...
Imma give options for how the story will move forward and you guys will choose the directions...
A trial round shall be done for this arc's finale...
