"Hi," I tapped on the open door, getting the teenage boy's attention beside the bed. "Can I come in?"

"Um, yeah," He ran his fingers through his hair, looking too tired for a kid his age. "Are you a nurse?"

"No," I stepped in with Pen-Pen in my arms, coming to sit in the chair across from the bed. "My name's Nefretiri. I was the one who asked to bring you and your sister here."

His reaction was what I expected. A mix of anger and apprehension. Not that I blamed him for it. Because of me, he'd been taken from his life, and his sister was lying in a hospital bed in a place he'd never been or probably heard of, with green hair and comatose. Anger was the least I could expect from him.

"What did you do to my sister?" He demands, getting to the point. "No one will tell me."

"I…" How did I explain this? "I woke her up."
