Chapitre 3: [3]

"Young Master Jiang, please take your medicine." The butler pleaded.

Chen Zen now known as Jiang Weicheng, silently ignored the butler. Jiang Weicheng was still confused about what happened. He must have transmigrated into the novel he was previously reading as the male lead's uncle, Jiang Weicheng right? This was the only explanation he could think of.

He woke up in this body half an hour ago and the butler has been trying to convince his master to drink the medicine. Thinking about how persistent the butler was, he finally took the bowl of medicine out of the butler's hands and gulped the bitter drink down.

He then handed the bowl back to the stupefied butler and simply said, "Get out."

The butler's eyes widened in shock after hearing his master speak because he was not used to it. It was rare for his master to speak as his master had selective mutism ever since he was little. His parents moved to America to try to help him with not only his mutism but also his mysterious illness that he developed around the same time.

"I'm not going to repeat myself," Jiang Weicheng said calmly.

The butler felt a shiver of fear run down his back when he realized he directly ignored his master's wishes. Facing his master's expressionless face, he knew that he had to get out of there.

Although his master had an expressionless face, his azure blue eyes were enough to instill fear into his soul even though throughout his career, his master never became angry with him. The butler gulped as he quickly retreated and ran out of the room, closing the door silently behind him.

Putting his back to the closed door, the butler took in a deep breath as he felt his heart rate return back to normal. He wiped his sweat off his forehead with his red handkerchief. He didn't know why, but every time he was near his master, he always felt as if his master's expressionless and cold personality was just a facade that was there to hide something even more sinister.

Unknowingly to the butler, the icy facade was not there to hide his so-called sinister personality but his warm-hearted one. Ever since Jiang Weicheng was small, he knew he must keep his icy facade up no matter what because, without it, it will make him appear weak.

He was constantly reminded of this fact when he remembers how his parents used to smile creepily when he was being tortured by them. But as soon as he learn to lock his emotions away and stopped projecting his true feelings, the sick smiles on his parent's faces faded away and the torture occurred less often as it no longer amused them seeing Jiang Weicheng act like a broken doll.

They want him to break down and show his suffering but he never did when he found out his parent's weakness. They were sadists: they enjoyed watching him in pain. After finding this out, Jiang Weicheng began to try to build his pain tolerance, and soon he was immune to pain. He was numb to physical pain. Even if his parents broke his fingers, he never cried out. He just didn't feel it.

When his parents couldn't get him to cry out in pain they ignored him which Jiang Weicheng was thankful for. To him, it was better to be ignored than to be tortured just for their sick benefit. He never understood why his younger brother, Chen Bao was treated differently from himself and he always wondered whether or not he would ever find out the truth.

As the butler walked off to order the head cook to prepare dinner for his master, he thought back to how his master was acting in the room a while ago. It was as if he was King was ordering a peasant and the butler was slightly afraid before the fear dissipated. The butler was already becoming used to Jiang Weicheng's personality after serving him for the past 6 years.

On the other side, Jiang Weicheng looked blankly at the closed door and frowned slightly. He wondered why the butler ran off in such a hurry. He even made an effort to speak to the butler so he wouldn't be so worried about the original host as the butler seems to really care for him.

Also, Jiang Weicheng felt a sense of comfort towards the butler, maybe because of the original's feelings or because the butler strangely reminded him of his own butler, Wang Dong. He wonders what happened to Wang Dong when he suddenly died. Did he grieve for him? Or was Wang Dong just like the others, using him for his own personal gain?

Jiang Weicheng felt saddened that he couldn't be like a normal person and felt as if he disappointed the butler. He tried his best, but he knew that it did not matter because he will always be a failure as his original parents from his previous world instilled that into his brain ever since he was born.

He tried to ignore the feelings of disappointment and instead decided to focus on the main thing. He was somehow transmigrated into this body. As a believer in science, Jiang Weicheng could not wrap his head around this. But after a few minutes of blankly staring at the wall, he accepted it. Jiang Weicheng had a habit of daydreaming and staring blankly at something in a daze as he tried to figure things out and even people who were scared of him found this habit to be very endearing and cute.

Just as he accepted the fact he transmigrated into another person's body, he felt a sense of oncoming pain in his head. When the pain hit, he silently endured it without letting out a single whimper escape or tear fall. He long grew numb to pain and it seems as if this physical trait came along from his previous life to the next. Jiang Weicheng did not know if this was a blessing or a curse.

As he was abused as a child, he never got to do many things that other people got to do when they were younger. Also, he never really understood the concept of love as that was the one thing he never received growing up.

This was why all he ever wanted was either a boyfriend or girlfriend in his previous life. He wanted someone to unconditionally love him. He too wanted to love that person as well but he was just too socially awkward and many were afraid of him even though he did not do anything.

He decided that if that person truly likes him, then they should be brave enough to make a move on him first and he prefers it if that person took the lead in the relationship. Jiang Weicheng hopes that as time passes, he becomes less awkward around the person he likes and he can freely speak with that person.

He died when he was 24 in his previous life but he was never in a relationship. Jiang Weicheng thinks that it was because he wants the other person to make the first move. Even though he had slight crushes on other people, he never made the first move nor indicated he was interested.

In short, Jiang Weicheng is an ice cube and all he wants is someone to melt his exterior and warm him up to expose his interior. He might seem tough and cold but he is really warm and kind-hearted which reminds people of a cinnamon roll. No one ever saw this side of him and Jiang Weicheng wonders if anyone ever will.

After the pain dissipated after a few minutes, Jiang Weicheng's azure blue eyes lit up. He just got the memories of the previous host.

Chapitre 4: [4]

Apparently, the original Jiang Weicheng had a fever and died in his sleep which left an opening for him to take his place. Also, the original host and he were so similar it was scary. They both developed selective mutism when they were younger and both gave the people the impression that they were cold and emotionless. Jiang Weicheng was grateful that he and the original were similar because this means he would not be questioned for acting differently.

The only difference was the reason why the original Jiang Weicheng was mute. This was because when Jiang Weicheng still lived in China, his mom's older sister (aunt) use to abuse him. She told him that if he ever told anyone, then she will kill his mom.

As a little child, Jiang Weicheng did not know better and listened to his aunt. The aunt convinced his parents that he should live with her for a few months and the parents agreed as they had to attend an important business meeting in Japan.

The aunt was a mad scientist and liked to experiment on the young child. She would inject him with various drugs. She was excited to find out that Jiang Weicheng was naturally immune to those drugs and began to inject him with deadly poison. She was ecstatic! She never saw such a perfect test subject! After two years old being tested on, Jiang Weicheng finally got sick.

The aunt grew disinterested in Jiang Weicheng after he got sick. Jiang Weicheng's parents finally got back after five months and they were shocked to find that Jiang Weicheng became mute and that was not all that happened to the boy. Jiang Weicheng had a mysterious illness! Jiang Weicheng would not talk to anyone because he felt like the world had forsaken him.

His parents took him to America to help him both with his illness and mutism. They made progress and now Jiang Weicheng can say a few sentences to his parents and the occasional words to his personal butler. Other than that, he couldn't speak.

On the other hand, the current Jiang Weicheng who transmigrated was also selectively mute but his case was slightly less severe. He could talk to anyone but chooses not to. He feels as if speaking is a waste of time and simply does not have the energy to do so.

Plus, he felt insecure about his voice after his parents told him that his voice was too deep and masculine compared to his younger brother's high-pitched voice. He once overheard his younger brother telling his parents that he was jealous of Jiang's masculine voice. The next day, his parents ordered him to not talk, and ever since then, he didn't talk with the occasional words with his butler. He knows he should not feel insecure about his voice but he couldn't help it.

The previous host is currently 17 years old and is a senior in high school. He is currently studying abroad in America and according to the novel, the original host is supposed to come back to China soon after finding out that the male lead, Jiang Rong unjustly used his power to kill an innocent boy named Song Shui who is the same age as him.

Despite the fact that Jiang Weicheng is 4 years younger than Jiang Rong, Jiang Weicheng is still his uncle. Jiang Weicheng's parents had adopted a boy named Chuang Bingwen because they couldn't have children. They gave him the surname Jiang and Jiang Bingwen was raised as the heir to the wealthy and prominent Jiang family.

When Jiang Bingwen turned 20 years old, his adoptive mother, Madam Jiang Jia found out she was pregnant. Jiang Bingwen's adoptive parents told him he can have the CEO position for 18 more years before passing it down to their own son, Jiang Weicheng to which Jiang Bingwen agreed. At that time, Jiang Bingwen already had a 4-year-old son named Jiang Rong who is the male lead.

Jiang Rong and Jiang Weicheng were the only children in the Jiang family as the rest were already old in age. Since there was two young children in the Jiang family, everyone referred to Jiang Rong as Childe Jiang and Jiang Weicheng as Young Master Jiang.

After reviewing the original host's memories, Jiang Weicheng got up from his bed and made his way to the bathroom. He closed the door to the bathroom and gazed into the mirror silently.

The man in the reflection had piercing azure blue eyes and short black hair that was parted to the side. His lips were a rosy pink which sharply contrasted with his unusually pale skin. Underneath his eyes were dark eyes bags, indicating that the original owner had trouble sleeping.

With a height of barely 5'0", Jiang Weicheng looked extremely weak and fragile which may invoke others with the urge to protect him. To sum it all up, Jiang Weicheng looked like a frail beauty that might be blown away by a slight gust of wind.

'This body, minus the sickly look, looks exactly like me when I was 17 years old.' Jiang Weicheng thought as he stared into the mirror with a slight frown.

When Jiang Weicheng was 17 years old in his previous life, he was bullied both at home and at school for being too girly and small. Despite the fact that his classmates knew he was the young master of the Chen family, they knew he was not favored so they bullied him.

To him, his high school days were the darkest point in his lifetime. It got better when he attended college and became the CEO of Hua Tech. At this point, he had a major growth spurt and his height became 6'4".

He also made sure to exercise a lot and he gained countless fangirls and fanboys for his looks. Furthermore, by the time he had to hand over his CEO position to his younger brother Chen Bao, and became the President, he had already gathered respect and fear from his employees.

During his high school days, his parents had long stopped the abuse since they knew they had to train him as the heir to the Hua Tech. at least until their younger son was old enough to handle the position of CEO. They could have just waited until Chen Bao turned 18 but they didn't.

Instead, they let Jiang Weicheng become the CEO. He supposed the reason why is because they knew that Chen Bao did not have what it takes to become the CEO and without him, the whole empire will crumple within hours. Even when he became the President, he still had to do the same tasks as when he was the CEO, so he knew his guess was correct.

As he thought about this, his gaze darkened before it disappeared. He would much rather forget about his past and focus on the present. He went out of the bathroom and grabbed his phone that was on the desk to check the date.

January 1st, 20XX.

'It's already been 5 months since the start of the novel. This means the protagonist Fu Lei already encountered his twin sister Fu Yan Ning and agreed to impersonate her since she does not want to marry Jiang Rong who is 2 years younger than her. She simply does not want to marry a younger man plus, she already has a secret girlfriend.' Jiang Weicheng thought as he walked back and forth.

'Fu Yan Ning has been engaged to the male lead Jiang Rong for the past year and now the elders want them to marry within 6 months. This means that in a months' time, Jiang Rong and Fu Lei will get married, and barely a week after that, the villain of the novel, Song Shui will tell the public that Fu Lei is actually a man.'

'Jiang Rong already knows that Fu Lei is pretending to be his twin sister, Fu Yan Ning after Fu Lei told him. Jiang Rong will get so mad that Song Shui humiliated his wife that he hires a gang to rape him and take pictures. After, Song Shui is kicked out of his family and killed by a mentally ill patient that escaped from the Mental Hospital.' He thought.

Jiang Weicheng bit his lip when he remembered how unjustly Song Shui was treated. Song Shui is an innocent villain. All he did was reveal the fact that Fu Lei is actually a man, and the male lead actually dared to hire a gang to rape him and get him kicked out of his family? Not to mention the fact that Song Shui was murdered by a crazy man the same day!

Also, Song Shui and Jiang Weicheng are both 17 years old while Jiang Rong is 21 years old. The only reason why Song Shui knew Jiang Rong is because they played together when Song Shui was 10 years old and Jiang Rong was 14 years old. Song Shui never met Jiang Weicheng as he went abroad to America to treat his illness.

The Song family and the Jiang family are close friends. This is one of the reasons why Song Shui was kicked out of the Song family due to the fact that Jiang Rong asked them to which was only fueled by the fact that Song Shui totally humiliated the Song family when he was raped.

Jiang Weicheng couldn't help but feel the urge to protect the innocent villain. It was not his fault he was raped and he felt furious that everyone was treating Song Shui as the perpetrator when he was the victim. He feels as if they were both similar in a way.

Jiang Weicheng still had a month left before Song Shui is kidnapped, raped, and murdered and he plans to save him. The original host only came back to China two months after hearing the news that his nephew, Jiang Rong killed an innocent man.

This was because everyone tried to keep this news from him since they knew that Jiang Weicheng won't let his nephew off. The only way he could protect Song Shui is to go back to China before the original was supposed to, meaning he will transfer to the same high school as Song Shui within 5 days and protect him.

The author did not write much about the villain Song Shui. She was more focused on the romance between the protagonist and the male lead. In other words, you can say that Song Shui was actually a cannon fodder villain.

Song Shui only appeared near the end of the novel and only a chapter was dedicated to him. All Jiang Weicheng knows is that Song Shui is the school tyrant (delinquent) at a prestigious high school named No 1. High School. Since Song Shui is an illegitimate son, his family ignored him. He tried to excel in schoolwork but his family never spared him a glance. Because of this, he began to act out and became a delinquent with several underlings.

Song Shui is also the childhood friend to Jiang Rong as the Song and Jiang families are close friends. The Song family is almost at the same level as the Jiang family in terms of wealth and power. The novel also mentioned that Song Shui and Jiang Rong never had contact with each other ever since they stopped hanging out with each other.

When Song Shui found out that his childhood friend was getting married, he was happy for him. But when he met Fu Lei, he grew suspicious. He could tell that Fu Lei was a man due to his Adam apple so he investigated. When Song Shui found out the truth, he was mad and wanted to help his childhood friend which is why he exposed Fu Lei's true identity only to be backstabbed by Jiang Rong.

The same thing can be said about Jiang Weicheng, as he was also treated as cannon fodder. His only purpose in the story was to kick the male lead out of the Jiang family and then later die from his illness at the young age of 18 which meant he had less than a year left to live but Jiang Weicheng was not worried.

After all, he knew the cure was hidden in his aunt's basement where she did crazy experiments.
