Chapitre 62: The hidden snake
Thanks to Fury's negotiation and diplomatic skills ( Death threats), all Inhumans were transported from Chinatown to Shadow Isles. There were hardly more than 70 people but Fury would rather keep them close and under his watch than out in open.
A short discussion later a team of knights under Fury and Phil left the base to rescue the Afterlife and check the locations of Kree temple and clinic where Jiaying was left last time. This was a rescue mission with possibilities to learn more about space travel and unravel possible information about life in space in Kree city.
Martha was hacking all possible online servers globally while Themis (the second AI clone divided from Martha, chapter 34) was doing the same in the US. They were doing everything they can to locate the attackers.

Whitehall was cleaning the small machine that he had designed. This was a prototype for his Advanced Infusion Chamber. The machine will take any Organic or Non-Organic material, strip its material and then infuse it with the receiver in the machine. This was upgraded from Particle Infusion Chamber because of the sudden discovery of such valuable test subjects.
Simply, no need to make any serum of any kind and you get to handpick your abilities. Even design the most perfect cocktail of superpowers. Endless possibilities for the evolution of humankind and creating his own superpowered hydra agents to take over the world.
For the first time ever, Whitehall was closest to being the perfect God he always knew he can be one day. After picking his subjects for his own powers carefully, Whitehall drew blood from them and then left them imprisoned.
However, the test results were disappointing. The blood tests were all normal.
"No. No...I must be missing something..." He mumbled to himself and then grabbed the blood collected from the dead bodies of those fighters in Afterlife. These guys had abilities to throw knives made from the air or shoot energy blasts and these were the main fighters in the afterlife.
He began his research and started his mission to gain powers and become the next' GOD'.
------Afterlife----
Two teams of Knights along with Steve and Fury landed here but found ruins of a possible town instead of anything valuable.
There was not even any attackers or any hydra soldier on the ground. Everything was gone. The only thing left here was broken wooden houses, burned places and frozen blood on snow.
-------Kree City------
Four hours later, the team landed near the temple location. The Kree city was underground but thanks to Gordon, moving in and out was not a problem for anyone. Phil, Fury and Gordon along with the kids (Nat, Yelena and Matt) just teleported here and it was again empty.
No signs of intrusions either. Clearly, Hydra soldiers still haven't found a way to reach here but there was something Gordon noticed.
"This was not glowing before. I don't think I ever saw this glowing any time." Gordon replied looking at a small LED type thingy that was embedded in rocks.
"This is a transmitter if I am sure. The design may be alien but the function is pretty basic." Phil replied after looking at the indicator.
"What does that mean?" Fury already understood that things have turned serious.
"This means, Kree or the monitoring dept. in Kree who is in charge of this place, are aware of large scale Inhuman gathering here. Remember, scientists and soldiers from a powerful intergalactic state had to escape a backward planet in hurry to save their lives. If you are in their shoes, what will you do, once hundred years later, you find a large gathering of such an enemy that you created yourself?"
Phil replied after thinking carefully. No way, Earth was a backward planet and experiment base for almost all galactic being out there and Inhumans, Mutants etc. were all created in this very way in comics.
"They are going to attack us? Kree will attack Earth?" Fury asked when the reality hits him. No way, he knows about Kree thanks to Captain Marvel but he never imagined one day Earth might have to fight a galactic war.
"Things won't be that bleak Fury. Earth is a backward planet for them and they won't send a large force. Plus we do have protection from some forces that have kept Earth safe for centuries. Anyway, we need to plan this properly and make some plans just in case.
Now, we need to take pictures and videos and record everything we can from here. Matt, Yelena and Natasha will take a team each and try to find anything that is not a rock and record it.
Fury you go with Gordon and try to find anything that we can take back or give us some idea about Kree or space.
I will look for a way to disable this transmitter and look for the energy source. There is something that is powering this even after so much time and that might give us some surprise."
I just gave them an idea about their tasks and started working on disabling this alien tech. I might not be a genetics expert but I am a very good engineer.
It took Phil less than a half-hour to disable that transmitter and find a very very surprising news. The transmitter was not sending a very strong signal that can cross any planet or orbit. So it was transmitting a signal somewhere on earth. However not knowing there was another problem.
In the meantime, others found that the city was a lot larger than they anticipated. It was like on three different floors with lots of rooms and space. Gordon explained to Fury that they never explored it, mainly because they were afraid of activating any kill switch or self destruct mode or something like that.
They only needed the temple for their kind and they just used that place.
In the end, their exploration was halted thanks to the team of hydra agents who came to check this place. They managed to find a tunnel leading down here hoping to kill or capture experimental subjects for Whitehall. Matt and Gordon noticed their movements first and laid a trap to capture them alive.
These guys, however, had no plans of getting captured and killed themselves decisively using suicide pills in their mouths. Unfortunately, they forgot they were using Cameras on their bodies to transmit the live footage to Whitehall who saw all this.
"Fuck! Who are these guys? That is definitely Fury, but isn't he dead? Who are the rest of the guys? Fuck. I need to leave. No. I can't leave. I need to use the machine!" Whitehall in panic ran for his machine.
He put three vials of blood that could give him powers to create knives from thin air, ran at a superfast speed and finally throw explosive energy beams from his eyes.
"Start the machine and do not stop until I come out. Also, seal this area and don't let anyone come inside. Got it?" He gave orders to nearby researchers who were frightened by the panicked Whitehall and just nodded.
Without thinking anything else, Whitehall prepared himself for his last life-saving card.
Less than twenty minutes later, Phil along with all others landed near an oil field in Schoonebeek, the Netherlands. However, they found nothing but a large fire that has almost covered the entire region. If there was anyone here, he was either dead or gone.
"Fuck! Fury take Gordon, go to the base and ask Hank to send some mini glaciers that we can use here. We must put out this fire before we lose all the tracks. Go, Fast!" Phil ordered Fury who just grabbed Gordon to do the same.
Phil was sure that the alien transmitter was also sending a signal here to something and this was the hiding place for Hydra leader Whitehall.
What happened to the last hidden snake?
