Chapitre 56: New Projects for Everyone

In 2000, many new scientists joined the shadow isles increasing the small research team to 10 people. The scientific research team is now filled with the likes of - Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne, Ryan Phillip, Melina Phillip, Doctor Wu (extended family shifted in NY and wife and kids at Shadow Isles), Doctor Yinsen (wife and kids at Shadow Isles), Scientist Maya Hansen (young, single), Scientist Aldrich Killian (kidnapped and then fascinated by dinosaurs and advanced tech at shadow isles), Doctor Helen Cho (young, single) and finally a surprise addition to the team, Erik Selvig.
While Phil and Hank worked like HR professionals and hired these amazing talents from all fields, Erik managed to get himself a seat with his advanced theories in space and quantum fields. Something Hank loved to talk about. Same age and same ideas like Hank and Phil knew his possible future, so how could he ignore him.
The second most important thing for Shadow Isles was the marriage of Commander Steve with Hope Pym, the Silent Bee and it was a very short and family only event. They chose to go on a small global tour after their marriage.
Today was the first time all the scientists gathered in the research room with Phil and Hank and they began to discuss and decide the future goals.
Phil assigned new projects for them.
1) Project HEAL
Goal: Healing and enhancing the Human Body.
Project Leaders: Maya Hansen and Helen Cho, Doctor Wu and Aldrich Killian (part-time helper)
2) Project SPACE
Goal: Creating spaceships for space travel and exploring space and finding possible options for relocation and repopulation of the human species.
Project Leaders: Hank Pym, Janet Van Dyne, Erik Selvig, Doctor Yinsen and Phil (part-time helper)
3) Project FALCON MAP
Goal: Modifying and creating new series of FALCON drones to capture and monitor earth's space, ocean and other unexplored areas (like Volcanoes to earth's core) to map out the entire planet.
Project leaders: Ryan Phillip, Aldrich Killian and Melina (part-time helper)
These three projects were the main focus for the entire group and suited to their core research and interests. With these three projects in place, it was possible to make human beings stronger and powerful enough to travel & fight in space wars. They can grab new territory/planets and be confident about the safety of planet Earth.
-----April 14, 2000-----
Phil was working on his drone series in peace when suddenly Martha's voice grabbed his attention.
"Oh my great creator, the most handsome one, I have found a request for one person put in the future lookout list, Jessica Jones."
"Oh! Thank you Martha but no. You are not given permission to meet or show your existence to the new AI - JARVIS. You will wait until my permission."
"Why? Please master. Please, father. Please. You have to know he is the first AI created after me and in human language, he is a male. You already know he is in conversation with ' The LADY' daily and they both are in a dating period. Please, I want him! I mean....I want to talk to him..."
At the end of 1999, JARVIS came 'alive' and rapidly grew. Tony managed to change his UI program into a full-fledged AI. He was soon noticed by 'Lady' when he tried to hack into Phillips servers and in return 'Lady' blocked him, traced him and then informed Martha and Phil.
Martha who had grown into the most powerful spam fighter internet warrior and lonely AI woman finally found a 'man' and thus had gone on a path of lovesickness.
Phil and Melina even had a fight on deciding the future path for it as Martha had taken Phil as her father and Melina as her mother thanks to her growth protocol. However, Lady is her 'twin sister' and her sister meeting and talking with a 'male' AI made her desperate and angry.
Phil wanted JARVIS to grow more and proceed more cautiously. Once, JARVIS and MARTHA interact, JARVIS might share all the information about shadow isles to Tony stark instantly and that might things complicated. Besides, two smart AIs with growth protocol and emotional intelligence might give birth to a new powerful but uncontrollable AI and hence the precaution.
Besides, Tony is still focused on his three W's - Woman, Wine and Weapons. Until Howard is cured and project HEAL show some result, he doesn't want Tony to come here.
"Just wait till Howard Stark is completely fine. You can monitor JARVIS actions via Lady already and that is more than enough for now. Don't be in hurry. Do you want to deal with a mature JARVIS Or a kid JARVIS? This is a long time project for you okay. I won't let my girl jump into a relationship with an immature kid. Just wait for now!"
"Fine father. But I am telling Melina about how you surf those naughty websites privately." Martha didn't forget to leave a scary message for her creator in end.
"Wait. Martha?? Fuck..."
Phil tried not to think about his angry wife and focused on Jessica Jones. Looking at the accident report, he called his favourite daughter who was in the NY Phillips office at this time.
"Hello?" Yelena's voice came from the other side.
"Hello, Yelena. Papa this side. I want you to take your sister and brother and do a small mission for me." Phil replied and transmitted all the details he possibly remembered from his memory and whatever Martha gathered from the hospital database regarding Jessica Jones and her case.
"What mission Papa? You know we don't do anything stupid after you told us." Yelena replied in a panicky voice.
"Of course dear daughter. So you have no idea who destroyed the Irish human trafficking business or the Russian drug business. Correct? Also, the death of this 'Kingpin' along with dozens of leaders in the underworld is also not something you know about. Right?" Phil said and laughed mischievously.
"That's all Nat Papa. And Matt. Nat and Matt. I am telling you Papa they both love this hero thingy. I just work in the company and relax here. I tried to tell them papa but they just want to punch and do the hero thing. Mom must talk to them!" Yelena tried to shift the blame faster than expected.
"I have you on camera, jumping roofs and punching guys, the usual night hero stuff. Okay. Don't think if Fury is training you, I won't know. Fury works for me and even if he wants to hide his agents, he can't hide my kids. Plus where do you think he got your suits and other things? Now, go grab your brother and sister, and track this little girl for me. Follow her and find out where is she being taken and by who? No contact necessary just gathers some intel."
Phil chuckled and cut the call and on the other side, Yelena took a deep breath. She loves the hero stuff but she doesn't want to upset her father. Anyway, they have to go back to shadow isles this weekend and it seems their mother is going to beat their ass on training grounds, 'again'.
"Nat, we have a mission. Bring our baby brother too. We need to go in 10 minutes." Yelena called and informed Nat and then went directly to the basement where she had parked her favourite car. As growing up, Yelena loved three things. Family, firearms and fast cars. Now, she started her car and drove directly near the dance studio of her company.
Nat and Matt soon came outside and then all three started discussing the mission and their roles like a routine. Clearly, they had done this many times and when they all knew that their father gave them this small mission, they wanted to make sure they don't fuck up and embarrass themselves.
-----Ambulance------
14-year-old Jessica Jones is being transported in an ambulance that was moving towards the docks. A young American doctor, Karlin Malus, bio-geneticist and founder of IGH, was sitting near her bed.
One of HYDRA's best and few surviving bio-geneticist experts and the co-head of their super-soldier production company IGH, Doctor Karlin Malus is a follower of Daniel Whitehall who wanted to push hydra agents to evolve further into superhuman beings so as to take better control over Earth.
He believed the key to Hydra's future was genetics just like Whitehall and under his personal guidance, he had developed several types of drugs and serums that would grant the test subjects a boon of superhuman strength & durability.
When Jessica Jones and her family got into a car accident involving one of IGH's shipping trucks, Karl saw the normal human survivours as the perfect candidates to test his genetic editing process and so had the company pay off all the medical bills so that he could test his new chemicals and his theory on them.
He was looking at her charts and the more he looked the happier he was. Imagine a girl, who almost drowned in their chemicals and survived. This was a miracle. The chemicals that were being transported via the trucks were supposed to be filtered and modified to be used for his experiments but somehow, this little girl took a bath in it and still survived.
He wanted to know what happened and what changed inside her.
"Drive fast. We don't have enough time to waste on this. Ask the team to prepare the lab." He gave commands to the driver and then looked at Jessica with a huge grin.
