Chapitre 15: The Werewolf Mummy Gin

Once everything was said and done with Siegfried and the exorcists we all returned to base.

Bringing our werewolf friend along for the ride.

Then as soon as we arrived we placed him in the dungeons.

Afterwards Chess, Dominque, and I reported on the events that had transpired before Urd and the others showed up to Urd in his office.

"And that's about it." I said.

Looking at me Urd sighed. "Well I guess it could've been worse. You could have killed all of them. Then things would really be a clusterfuck. But as it stands now I can smooth things over with the angels and the church. However we still need to decide the fate of our furry friend."

"About that. Let me handle him." I spoke.

"Why?" Urd asked me.

"He seems like an interesting guy, and one I want to get to know." I explained, putting a grin on my face.

Urd sighed once again. "You know what, have at it. Just leave me out of whatever you have planned."

"Will do." I told him.

Once I did the meeting came to and end, and the three of us left Urd's office.

We then headed to the dungeon to finish the chat that was so rudely interrupted earlier.

-----------------------------------

Arriving in front of our friends cell I tapped on the bars, which caused him to look up at me.

He is chained to the wall afer all. The cuffs he's wearing are laced with dampening wards and the like, so right now he's as weak as a newborn baby.

"Yo." I said.

"Did you just come here to fuck with me?" He asked.

"No, no, I really didn't." I said. "I want to finish our conversation from earlier. Those exorcist rudely interrupted before you could tell me your tale, and I want to hear it."

"Why?" He asked me.

"It's to decide. Whether I should toss you to the exorcists or offer you the prize behind door number two." I explained.

He looked at me when I said that. "So you saved me and would throw me back just like that?"

"Yep." I said, popping the 'p' with emphasis. "It's not personal, just business. If keeping you around is bad for my people, then I won't hesitate to get rid of you."

I am being deadly serious here.

"So, which is going to be? Do you want to get dropped off in Moscow on the doorstep of the Russian Orthodox Church, or you want a chance to tell your story and maybe have a chance? Better decided within the next minute, or else I'm choosing option one for you." I explained.

"Ok, here is my story." He began.

"Excellent." I said.

I then pulled out a bucket of popcorn from a dimensional storage space and got settled in.

The first thing he told us was his name.

Gin Fernus.

He is a year older than me at fourteen years old. He was born here in Russia, specifically in a forest near Kazan. And just like we all suspected he is a werewolf. A full-blooded one at that. Both of his parents were werewolves, and the three of them lived peaceful lives in the forests. But that all came crashing down over a year and a half ago when exorcists came to his home and killed his parents. Even though they had never attacked or tried to convert a human in their entire lives.

Gin's father sacrificed himself to he could escape.

After that he lived on the streets, while plotting his revenge.

Pretty soon he started his exorcist killing spree. Which led him to right here with us.

"And now you're all caught up." Gin mused. "So, what is option two? You heard my story, now what is it?!" He shouted.

"I want you to join me." I said.

"Now I know you're fucking with me." Gin said.

"He's not." Dominque said.

"Not at all. Kufa is very serious at the moment." Chess added.

"I am." I said.

"But...but I killed exorcist?" He questioned.

"So. They killed your family. Well not them specifically, but people like them. Personally I think you had every right to be angry, and get some revenge. But it's over. You killed and you were caught. It's the end of that. However I know you don't want to die. Even though you are hurt and angry, I can tell you want to live. If you didn't then you would have let those exorcists kill you while you fought them. But instead you didn't. No you used your skills to survive and even evade them. I'm impressed by that, so I want you to join me. In the future I am going to get into some shit, and having someone like you watching my back is just what I need. So, what's your answer?" I said.

"This sounds too good to be true." Gin mused.

"Smart man, I like that." I said. "And you're right. You will need to follow some rules. Number one: no more killing exorcist unless they attack us first or the circumstances are unavoidable. If you are going to be apart of my team then that means you'll be under my protection and my factions protection, and I can't have you starting any wars prematurely. Rule number two: You betray us and I will keep good on my promise to give you two the exorcists. And don't think you can hide from me, because I will find you. Finally rule number three: you will participate in our training and you will not spill any faction secrets you may see or overhear, the penalty for the latter is death once again. Other than that you are free to do what you want. So I ask once again, are you in our out?"

"I'm in." Gin said. "For some reason I feel like things will get very interesting if I join up with you, so I agree."

"Excellent." I said.

I then took the key for the cells out of my pocket and unlocked it. I then did the same for Gin's cuffs and he stood up. He then began to change, until he reverted to his human form.

Where he has dark skin, pure white long hair just a little past his shoulders with a single braid hanging near his right eye, light green eyes, and also for some strange reason most of his body is wrapped in bandages.

"What's with the bandages, are you some sort of mummy werewolf?" Dominque joked.

Gin shook his head. "No. These bandages are a magical tool." He said. The bandages around his right arm then shot off in multiple directions, all of them forming shapes and preforming tricks before securing themselves back around Gin's arm. "I don't understand them too well myself, but when I poor magical power into these bandages I can freely control them as I please. I can extend and retract them, and even if they tear they repair themselves over time. I can also make them as hard as steel."

"Where did you get them?" Chess asked.

"From my dad." Gin said. "He found them ages ago somewhere in Africa. Never did find out where they originally came from, but as long as they didn't kill him and he could use them he didn't really care. He gave them to me before he was killed."

"How long did he have them for?" I asked.

"He was close to five hundred years old, and he had these for about three hundred years." Gin explained. "And before you ask, no I can't use them when I turn into my wolf form. My dad tried to do the same thing for centuries, but no matter what he did the bandages would never appear. And I'm in the exact same boat."

"Well we're a bit different." I said. "Our factions magical knowledge and technology is highly advanced, so give us a bit of time and we'll be able to allow you to use those bandages in any form." I explained.

I then walked up to Gin and placed my arm around his neck. "Now, let's go party to celebrate you joining us."

"No way!" Gin protested.

But the three of us ignored him. No matter how loud he scream.

It's fine.

I just know we're going to grow on him.

Not to mention I have finally have another member for my team.

Still have no idea what to call it though.

Every boss team needs a badass name after all.
