Chapitre 89: Ch 79 – This Isn’t Magic!
Inside a room located inside an Inn, Kaleido was seen sitting in a lotus position while his sword was rested on his lap.
And as he sat there for a few minutes straight, strange things started to happen to his body not shown to the naked eyes like his rapidly pulsating muscles, his heart beating faster and faster increasing the speed of his blood flow, and much more inhumane stuff that shows he was far from a human being.
"Sigh, the evolution process with mana in the air is still slow, I guess it's high time to learn magic and see the true potential of my cheat" muttered Kaleido as he stood up and put his sword on his sheath, and headed outside his room to see that there were adventurers like him eating some delicious elven cuisine that was fully vegan.
"If mana can substitute for nutrition, then can I later not even need food once I unlock my mana?" muttered Kaleido as he got out of the inn without getting anyone's attention and peacefully got out of the rowdy inn he rented in for a couple of silver coins.
After getting out of the inn, he looks around the magnificent kingdom of nature around him that was fully built by using the surrounding environment and nature that makes it feel natural and taking away the feeling of it being man-made and instead it was like the whole kingdom was just there from the start.
With a quick glance around the kingdom, he easily found a library in the distance which probably holds some books about magic, he could have done this before in the royal capital but he just didn't have time with his busy schedule of constantly evolving.
"Well, it's time to learn some stuff and finally make my brain evolve at a faster pace," said Kaleido with a soft voice, and without hesitation, he walked towards the library in the distance while passing by some elves who looks at him with curiosity full of mystery.
Hmm, what would the traditional magic arts be like? When I activate my cheats I would just instinctively know how magic works and do it in an impossible way, but from my findings, it involves three things.
A, magical support that helps channel mana but later on you won't need it and only your body as the medium.
B, Attribute, it's the attribute of your magic spell, but some can cast attribute less magic or use mana on their own which involves impeccable mana control.
And finally c, Incantations, but later you could shorten it to only one word and some can even cast it with no incantations.
But to have all three is impossible due to the sheer talent you need to have to achieve all three, and that's why Louis might as well be a god of magic with his capability in regards to the realm of magic that rivals Don Will Dead.
Wait, do I even need the cheat of 3 No's Magic?
What if I learn it on my own?
Hmm, I'll keep it sealed for now and see what will happen, but if it is possible maybe I can gacha a new cheat for Kaleido.
As I stood in front of the elegant wooden door with vines all around it, I opened it without hesitation to be greeted by the sight of a library full of trees that spirals upwards to the top of the tree.
But the tree is small in comparison to the gigantic World Tree beside us.
As I glance out of the library and to my side, I saw a gigantic tree that shoots to the sky that was as large as a whole palace, and it was a palace because that is where the Royal Family lives, well technically not inside it but that's where they live.
The World Tree is a source of life and holds the Water of Life that grants immortality to those who drink it with the sheer amount of vitality it holds.
And it is also the reason for the dense amount of mana in the air along with the abundance of spirits in the Kingdom, but I do wonder why it's so special?
With a shake of my head, I ignored the gigantic tree in the distance and entered the library while glancing around with a blank stare behind my mask.
"Hello there sir, what may I help you with?" asked the elf lady sitting behind the counter with respect as she knows I'm an A rank adventurer.
"Are there any books about magic? I want to learn it on my own" I said with a nonchalant tone as the elf lady looks at me in surprise.
"So you are interested in learning magic, sir, I should advise you but you should hire a mentor or join a school instead, learning magic on your own is hard without help," said the elf lady as she advised me to dissuade my intent to learn magic.
"Don't worry about it, I just want to try it first and hire a mentor later" I said as the elf lady nodded and showed me the section where the books are held.
As I walked towards the place where the books were held, I understand why the way to attain magic is laid out there in the open, it's because magic is hard as fuck in simple terms.
Learning magic on your own might as well be abysmal in success rate due to no prior experience and if you do try, there is the chance of death happening and that dissuades enough people to stop doing it.
Besides, it only shows how to attain it and some simple harmless spells like the spell light ball, the higher tier spells are locked behind money which isn't a problem for me.
So with a quick walk through the area, I grabbed each of the books and rapidly flipped through the pages with my enhanced memory doing its thing to ingrain knowledge into my mind at a rapid pace while my brain started to evolve to understand the knowledge seeping into my mind at a rapid pace.
And as I did that, the elf lady at the counter looked at Kaleido's figure with deadpan eyes and sighed.
"Sigh, who would have thought," said the elf lady as she took away her glance from Kaleido and look elsewhere.
After a while, I finished reading all of the books in just a few minutes and with a nod, I bid farewell to the library and walked toward my room inside the inn to start my training.
Once I was inside it, I let out a sigh of relief as I finally know how to start this.
As I sat on the ground in a lotus position, I closed my eyes and felt my body already evolving to accommodate the process that I was about to do.
Soon, I was in a state of full focus and felt the mana in the air around me which is good because the next step is to absorb the mana in the air like cultivation and gather it deep inside you and that's it, just gather the mana inside you, make the mana denser and then gather more, make it denser and rinse and repeat.
I thought I would have to make magic circles or something to divide the tiers of magic but nope, I just gathered it inside me like a hoarder to increase my mana reservoir and that's when something magical starts to happen with the mana now inside my body.
Soon, my body started to respond to this new source of power and without me knowing, it flowed all over my body and my mana absorption started to go faster and faster and before I knew it, my mana was already the same as those of D rank mages and not only that, my body started to become more attuned to mana and I felt like I was changing species into a magical based one like those of dragons naturally talented in magic.
As mana rapidly funneled into me like a vortex, my body rapidly got stronger due to the effects of mana and I felt my vitality, strength, durability, everything about me was getting stronger, and not only that, I could feel it already, my body is now starting to become less biological and more magical.
With the mana infusing directly into my body, I felt like the world, no, reality itself was connected to me in some weird way that was different from quirks nor when the time I had Louis's cheats.
No, it's like I am a…
"SPIRIT!" I said in shock as I realized what I am slowly becoming but there was still the difference, it's like… I can't describe it, it's like I am not the same as them.
Is it because I am still part biological and not purely made of magic?
Wait, if I am part flesh and mana…
"Then can I change my body?" I asked and without hesitation, my body lit ablaze into pure flames, and I felt like my physical body was now gone but I was still there.
"It is possible, but if I am a Spirit, then I must be able to do what I am thinking" I muttered with bated breaths, and with an outstretched hand, I felt the connection between me and reality strengthening and with one swift motion, the air around me bent to my will to produce five spheres of spinning air.
"HOLY SHIT!" I shouted in shock as the other four spheres change into the other elements that glowed in sheer beauty in front of me.
"This isn't magic! This is reality manipulation!" I said with bulged eyes as the true nature of magic finally presented itself to me with my new evolved body.
