"Let no joyful voice be heard!" Christina Mathers, better known to the world as Mama Mathers; the leader of the Fallen, yelled out as she cracked her whip and stroke one of the prisoners they had around the circle.
The world had changed in the last hundred years, with the emergence of the spatial phenomenons known as gates that allowed monsters into their world and the emergence of the individuals with super powers known as capes, it was in a state that was hard to compare the so called civilization from before.
Sure, some might argue that the humanity had managed to adapt to the emergence of the super powers and gates since things like economy, schools and other similar things still stood in their places but she and her fellow believers knew better. The world was falling apart, it was filled with sinners that did not understand that their world was not worth saving, that they should let it all burn!
"Let no man look to the sky with hope!" But they were right, and the gates gave them the proof. It gave them those who were meant to cleanse their rotten world!
The Endbringers.
Three strongest beings of the world, that had managed to escape their gates and have been causing havoc on the world with their powers. The unwashed masses could claim them to be monsters but the truth was that they were saviors! Simurgh even had the appearance of an angel, what more proof they could need!
Luckily, they now had a way to bring the proof. Witchfire, a parahuman with several esoteric abilities had came to her and told her about the ancient ritual that could breach the barriers between the dimensions and bring a new Endbringer to the earth! The mere thought of being the person to allow another savior to reach their world had filled Mathers with a warm happiness.
One that she was sharing with the whole world throughout the cameras! A fact that Witchfire seemed to be rather mad about and said something about how it would call the 'heroes' to them. Pah! As if Mathers was afraid of the false prophets that had the adoration of the unwashed masses. Even if she was, she had several of their members interfere with the source of their signal so that it looked like they were broadcasting from about six hundred and sixty six different locations at the same time.
"And let this day be blessed by us who summon our lord!" Mathers yelled as she saw the circle Witchfire drew on the ground, with the blood of their sacrifices, glow more brightly than ever and felt the world shook as the light became too bright to look at.
When they could finally open their eyes once more, a hulking figure with blue skin that looked to be over seven feet and made out of muscle. It was... far more humanoid than Mathers had been expecting but it wasn't that surprising since Simurgh had a humanoid appearance as well.
"But, this isn't..." Witchfire was saying something but Mathers cared little for it, she had far more pressing concerns. She had just realized that she hadn't made a proper plan for welcoming their newest savior!
"Fallen!" And it looked like she wouldn't get to make one since the false prophets of the rotten world seemed to have finally found them.
She knew of the ones that had barged in through the ceiling. Immortal, War Woman, Metal Knight, Omni-Man, Legend, Djinn, Stars and Strip along with the New Wave and some of the other Brockton PRT capes. An admittedly more powerful gathering of foes than she had expected but obviously still far too weak against their savior. Any of their saviors could basically bitchslap this gathering down with little to no effort!
"O' Lord, destroy these heretics!" One of their members yelled out and even though she did have the same feelings as him, he had no place to order...
"Who are you to tell me what to do?"
A pin dropping to the ground could be heard with how silent it got. The heroes above and the Fallen below, all of them had gone deathly silent and tried to comprehend what had just happened.
They had summoned an Endbringer, that was what they did. Yet... had anyone ever heard an Endbringer talk before?
Mathers was the only one smiling, for as far as she was concerned; they had not summoned a mere savior. No, they had summoned one that was above them, a messiah!
"You... can speak?" One of the heretics, Omni-Man, asked with furrowed eyebrows but before Mathers could try to kill him for talking so casually towards the messiah; the messiah started to levitate till he was at eye level with the heretics.
"I am Uranos of Titan. And yes, I can speak." The messiah declared and Mathers could feel her legs grow shaky at learning the name of their messiah but before she could fall, the ground beneath them started to glow as Witchfire chanted some nonsensical words and then they disappeared before any of the heretics could attempt to attack them.
One could claim that they were saved from being captured by the heroes by Witchfire's quick actions but Mathers was not one of those people. Instead she immediately lunged at the crimson hooded villain and yelled.
"You left the messiah there!"
