Ivy immediately went back to bed after seeing Paul who had been freed by Theodoric. She was crying and she couldn't show her wet eyes to Theodoric. She didn't even know why she should be crying? But what made him cry was that he was touched by Paul's farewell to Derion.
Ivy's heart had felt so sensitive since her current pregnancy. Whatever he thought was a moving thing, tears would always fall.
He immediately pretended to sleep with the lights turned off. And when Theodoric came into the room, he sighed.
"I thought you saw him on the balcony, Ivy," he said.
In fact she did see him, but in order not to make Theodoric feel jealous, Ivy chose not to see him on the pretext of being sleepy.
Theodoric didn't know that he was crying. He also did not know that there were tears that fell in the corner of his wife to wet the pillow.
Back asleep, Theodoric hugged Ivy from behind him while rubbing his stomach.
