Chapitre 34: Not a chapter
Update for people looking forward to new chapters, I'm sorry to say I'm still sick, but even worse I've been re-reading my story in order to adjust my guideline for the future, and I feel that the past 10 chapters have not been that good. The past 10 chapters feel rather "soulless" compared to my first 10, and I think that's because when I started, I had a clear idea about who the characters are and the setting at Shimotsuki village, but re-reading the past 10 chapters, the characterization feels plain.
I'm stuck on how to fix this, I kind of just want to rewrite large parts of the past 10 chapters. For me, this fanfic should be a character-centric story, I think I've been way too hasty in trying to power up the MC and the characterization for his classmates has suffered greatly. The action scenes also need lots of work since I'm not an experienced author.
Idk, there's so much to fix that I think I want to go on a short hiatus and actually plan out character sheets for MC's classmates and future allies. I have a basic guideline of where I want the story to go but other than that, I got nothing else to help me with the characterization and it's really bugging me.
So, with that, I'm sorry to say to everyone looking forward to new updates, but I'll be taking a hiatus in order to work on the things I said above, as well as learn how to write better action scenes. This fanfic started as just me putting some thoughts down on a page, I never thought it would get this much attention. I think it outgrew my writing ability, and I don't want to deliver bad content, so I hope that the hiatus will let me come back stronger and write a better story going forward.
