Chapitre 157: I still dislike you

Isabelle stood outside the presidential villa for a couple of minutes after her car had dropped her off, for this party she had no date. And she couldn't come with Asher because that would just be too weird, how would they even explain that?

She was mortified when she found out that neither Jessie nor Raphael would be coming as well. So this was how she was doomed to be alone at this party, she didn't even know anyone here-

"Dr. Byun, it's a surprise meeting you here," a familiar voice said and Isabelle turned around to see Meredith.

"Dr. Xing!" She smiled, maybe a little too enthusiastic, when she noticed how taken aback Meredith was she had to apologize. 

"I wouldn't have thought of us as close enough for you to have such a reaction to me," Meredith said and Isabelle nodded. 

"You're right, we are not. I am sorry, it's just that I do not know anyone else attending this party so I was feeling pretty intimidated."
