***Kar-el P.O.V., Next day.
'Serena and Ultron are both shared many similarities yet they have some fundamental differences,' I picked up the tape and applied it to the wires before closing the metal and welding it.
' You could say that the difference comes from the origin. The creation itself. Just like how vision had differences with the ideology of Ultron.' I observed the complete product as I took some deep breaths.
' Ultron was envisioned from the fear of destruction of humanity in tony ignited by Wanda herself. Meanwhile, Serena was born from my desire to have someone that could help me in the future. ' Serena started to move the arm around so it could be tested for any problems.
' Another thing was that Ultron was in a sense brainchild of tony with the foundation of mind stone. Ultron hated tony because he knew that both were similar in thinking. '
' Serena was a different case, I didn't design her like myself because I knew that I too have flaws of my own. Instead, I chose the easy way by designing her like the prime AI of krypton who was made by thousands of Kryptonian masterminds over the centuries and was perfected over millennials. We were already past the age where we had to fight with our creation. '
I checked the results that Serena ran on the model as we discussed if there was any need to make any changes to the design before we moved to the next project.
' While giving her free will does amount to a lot of complications but she does listen to other people's opinions, unlike Ultron. And strictly speaking, Ultron was the first down to top A.I. in the marvel universe meanwhile Serena had a long line of ancestors which pave the path for her so she wouldn't choose planetary wipeout as a first option. '
' She can have doubts but who doesn't have them once you realize that what you are trying to protect will definitely one day hate you to death. Just like how in a few years, millennials and gen z would start to blame the older generation even though they are paying for the Internet bills for them. '
" Okay, so which should we work on first? " I turned to look at the speaker as I play with the pen.
" I would prefer if I get a body first as the other project require precise control that a robotic arm might not be able to provide. " Serena replied as she presented me with a blueprint of an android that I designed for her.
" Okay, but we would need some materials that we don't have currently. "
" Already done with ordering them from available resources. Let me print out the list for you with the details that you need to remember so you could fetch them from the dealers. Ohh, a few of them would require you to travel inter-state so I booked tickets for you. " I took the list and browsed over it.
" Hmm, and how much cash we have remaining now after all of this?" I took a bite out of the taco that I purchased an hour ago.
" Well, it's not much if we consider the initial amount but still a lot if we consider it from a normal person perspective. Don't worry I try to not use it where it's not necessarily important like booking tickets. I will only use it where there are chances of attracting troublesome eyes on us. "
" okay " I got up from the chair and picked up the garbage before leaving the room.
*** Serena P.O.V.
I noticed that somehow the American senators were more profitable on the share market than real experts like warren buffet with a percentage of 12% + compared to a measly 2.5% of warren.
It was pretty clear that they were using the inside knowledge that they get access to as a lawmaker to earn so much profit so I did the only sensible thing. I started to track their share transactions and started to put my own according to their moves.
Meanwhile, I prepared the hypnotic device that would be used by me for our plan next while also searching for an appropriate target.
We needed a guy with a bad moral compass and high testosterone in his body that also possess the capabilities to meet our initial requirements.
Starting a business empire from the beginning would take too much time so we decided to start with a little higher ground.
Sadly, the body would be just be focused to deceive people that it's a human instead of an Android that I would be operating.
If I got to choose then I would have made it capable of taking a nuke as well as working as a nuke too but he was not thrilled with the idea.
' Why would you need something like that when it's just a temporary measure?' Was his question when I suggested adding some weaponry at least.
'Just abandon the body when things go wrong. We should avoid as much as we can to provide our enemies things to study and re-engineer when there is no need. ' He ended the conversation with that and since he was technically right, I couldn't object to it.
*** Kar-el P.O.V.
" Here is the rest of the cash ", I passed the cash to the dealer after confirming that I received the right material.
He nodded to me after counting the cash and I took it as my signal to leave so I got in the truck and got on the road again.
My next stop was 5 km away and thankfully It's not illegal so I could just go and take my things with no timing schedule issues involved.
" Hey man," I waved at the guy walking beside the road after I stopped the truck near him," Do you know where is the nearest petroleum pump?"
He nodded before telling me the way. Thankfully, there was enough fuel in the truck to reach the stop.
I brought some snacks while I was refilling the tank before I got on the road once again.
I made at least a few million in a few days and now I was putting most of them in just a few things. A normal person could enjoy years with this much money.
But it would save me some trouble too, someone making millions in a few days from almost nothing would send many organizations into active mode and shell accounts could save me for so long as long as the money stayed in them.
Putting it back into circulation and getting rid of the accounts thoroughly was the right move.
I got out of the truck and entered the Walmart. There were a lot of things that I had to get from it, including bolts and wire would be needed.
" Do you guys sell wigs too? " I asked the staff as I got my shopping cart.
" Obviously they do, I heard you might even find a firstborn if you search enough." A passing customer joked while the staff member nodded to me.
I gave a smile before I walked away to the other side before collecting the items on the list one by one.
" Are you building something, sir?" The cashier asked me while making the bill of all my purchases.
" You could say that I guess."
" Do you mind me inquiring about what are you building exactly?" I paid the bill which made the cashier smile more genuinely.
'I guess, they might be a commission system on how much sell staff does.' I picked the bags carefully so they don't rip apart as soon as I leave the mart.
" Something like a female terminator. " I replied to the earlier question as I exited.

Okay, late but some of you that read my original too might know that I did upload chapters recently, just not on this one. Well, it's mostly because I couldn't stop myself from binge-watching both seasons of witcher as soon as I got the free time. By the way, it was definitely worth it. Couldn't wait for season 3.
