(3rd POV)
After making a hole in the solid rock with his body, Lex flew out of the cylindrical rock that had been Azmuth' hideout for a long time.
Looking up at the sky, he immediately saw hundreds, perhaps thousands of capsules that fell one after another from space, opening up in the air to reveal their true form and land on the surface of the planet, causing considerable destruction.
They were Vilgax's attack robots, with a large body and three insectoid legs, just like the ones Lex encountered when he found the Omnitrix in early summer. The only difference was their size, because the robots that came to Xenon were huge, comparable to a five-story building. And there were many of them, enough to wipe several cities into dust in a couple of minutes.
It seems that this time Vilgax decided not to skimp and sent all his attacking power, not even bothering to send smaller drones, because he knows from the last meeting with Lex that they are all useless, but an army of giant robots can cause problems even to the owner of the Omnitrix.
At the very least, this will seriously exhaust him and delay him until the main attacking force arrives...
True, when he saw the army that Vilgax sent to his soul, Lex only smiled excitedly, not at all afraid of the number of enemies he would have to face, because it was he needed it so much right now.
In his current state, Lex used all his mental strength not to break loose and start destroying everything that caught his eye in a fit of uncontrollable anger, so as not to harm his beloved, and here, Vilgax had given him such a wonderful gift.
Hundreds and hundreds of punching bags that Lex would gladly destroy, indulging in his current destructive tendencies that had been building up since Morgana's imprisonment. Mindless destruction, this is exactly what Lex wanted so much now in order to blow off steam and clear his head, and I must say, the guy is not going to deny himself such pleasure.
Without even bothering to look at Tetrax, who was still waiting at the entrance to the rock, in the company of the awakened Gluto, and anxiously looking at the arriving enemies, Lex raised his hand and fired a beam of magic that instantly destroyed a dozen drones closest to Tetrax. Even if Lex is not completely sane now, he still cares about his loved ones, especially those who do not make him angry...
Waving his hand to the dumbfounded Petrosapien, Lex kicked off the air, and like a bullet flew forward, towards the enemies who had already managed to land on the planet. And despite the fact that the guy was a hundred times smaller than the robots, one of his blows was enough to almost completely annihilate the robot, and this without the use of magic.
After destroying a couple of hundred more drones, completely ignoring their attacks in the form of lasers and missiles, Lex completely dispersed and began his path of destruction, completely ignoring the damage that he inflicts with his attacks on the surface of the planet and its flora. Luckily, the fauna was smart enough to get away from the crazed Anodite and the constantly exploding robots.
When all the robots in the immediate vicinity were exterminated, and everything around was on fire, Lex turned his attention to those drones that had not yet reached the planet. In fact, they were now in a defenseless form that allowed them to travel through space, and until they activated their attack form they were harmless, but that didn't make them any less of an excellent target, which Lex began firing at with his magically crafted machine gun, cackling insanely as he did so.
The spectacle, must say, was quite creepy and not much different from the apocalypse, especially the entourage was added by fire, which had already consumed almost 1/5 of the planet and which Lex did not care at all, because in front of him he saw only robots, which he gladly destroyed, while more and more magic flowed around him, which was not a good sign.
It was for this that Gwen and Azmuth, who got out of the rock, found him, which, of course, they did not like at all...
- He was completely lost in his emotions and allowed them to take control of him. Little time left it needs to be stopped immediately. - Azmuth said hastily, leaving for later his worries about the destroyed garden, which he had been collecting for many years.
- And how do you suggest I do it? I had little chance to do this before, but now that it has completely dispersed, I won't even be able to get close to it! - exclaimed Gwen, who was not a little frightened by the sight, and also by the usually reserved guy who was going crazy.
It wasn't until she saw this that she realized just how much power Anodite had, and also how scary Lex could be if he wasn't worried about the damage he could do to his surroundings. A little more and he will literally split the planet in two. And that's all, without the Omnitrix...
For some reason, before Gwen did not understand how strong her boyfriend was, and even after all the adventures she had gone through, she did not see what Lex hides behind his harmless facade and how dangerous he can be. And now, to put it mildly, Gwen was scared.
And the worst thing is that part of the blame lies with Gwen herself, because she brought Lex to such a condition and now she needs to somehow stop him and Azmuth is clearly not an assistant in this.
- How do I know? Just go and do your thing before he kills us all! - shouted the Galvan sitting on the girl's shoulder.
- It's you, the smartest creature of five galaxies, can't you think of anything? - Gwen asked displeasedly, easily shielding herself from the robot that exploded nearby, which was shot down by Lex.
- I spent everything before, when I tried to escape from him, but there is no time to create something new. What's more, whatever I do will only make him angrier. Besides, as soon as he sees me, I will most likely become his target. - Azmuth said grumpily.
- It is truth too. - Gwen couldn't disagree, knowing full well that the seal might soon become useless, because judging by the state of Lex, he would simply tear Azmuth to pieces as soon as he saw him.
- You are the only one who can bring him to his senses, and you know it. - Azmuth said seriously, looking into the girl's glowing eyes.
- Urgh, okay. I will do it. - Taking a deep breath, Gwen clenched her fists and said with determination.
- Don't worry, you are his close person, at least he won't have to kill you. The maximum will beat me to a pulp, then again continue the destruction of robots and the destruction of my planet. - Azmuth said with a thumbs up.
- Haha very funny. - Without laughing, Gwen said with an icy face, then asked: - Have you thought about becoming a comedian?
- Actually, I was quite popular once. I remember when depression hit me once again after I realized the meaninglessness of my life, I moved to a space station, where for forty years, under a pseudonym, I performed on stage with jokes that I myself wrote. - Azmuth suddenly said.
- Truth? And how did it all end? - Gwen asked curiously.
- As a result, I accidentally offended someone with my joke, and I had to destroy several alien crime families and the station itself in order to get behind me. - Azmuth said with nostalgia in his voice, and then flippantly added: - But, it was in my favor anyway, because I was already tired of being a comedian, and I wanted to start inventing again.
- ...Lex was right, you are indeed very dangerous. - said Gwen, speechless.
- I am 2104 years old in earthly terms. It's a long time and you have to somehow have fun, and you can die of boredom. - Azmuth shrugged.
'Now I somehow better understand Lex and why he did this… Truly, the thinking of the long-lived, especially the aliens, cannot be understood by mere mortals… - Gwen thought to herself, only now realizing that Azmuth really should not be compared with ordinary people and measure it by human values...
- Well, that's it, stop wasting time! Go and do the deed. Save our damn lives! - ordered Azmuth, who himself was to blame for the fact that he began to remember his past and waste precious time, but he couldn't admit it to a girl who was almost a hundred and thirty-two times younger than him. After all, his authority will suffer…
It was because of such thinking that all these problems began… Azmuth does not learn anything…
- Okay, okay. I'll try my best. - Gwen said with difficulty restraining her irritation from the tone of the alien, and then added: - It can be dangerous, so stay with Tetrax. He will protect you.
Without listening to Azmuth, who was clearly about to make fun again, the girl surrounded the alien with a sphere and sent the sphere itself to Tetrax, who did not budge.
The sight before his eyes shocked him too much and he didn't even think of finding a safer place. When the delivery was completed and Azmuth was literally in the hands of the petrosapien, Gwen looked at the still raging Lex, who would soon run out of targets, and after praying for success, flew to meet him to prevent him from making another mistake.
