JACOB smiled when he saw that they were already in their bedroom, and he was on top of his wife.

"You've no idea how I wanted to leave that nonsense duel and come back to your side," he growled and buried his head in the crook of her neck. "I was badly mercenary killing that bastard, badmouthing about you which I could not forgive. No one will have you but me. I won't lose you," he whispered, and a pleasant sensation tingled on her skin. "You belong to me."

Angeline felt that heated sensation runs through her as she felt his warm breath bathing his neck before dropping a kiss. She enjoyed being in his arms again, the strength and power he possessed making her feel safe and protected.

He gazed so happily, but lust clouded his gray eyes, turning them a shade of silver.
