Chapitre 55: The Mysterious Rescuer

AFTER SOME minutes, the new couple was in the living room with the whole family member of the Medici. They found out about the shooting incident in the suite they left behind. Jacob did not know how to explain it to their families.

"They were in our suite when that shooting happened," Stefanie explained, ignoring Tristan's eyes. "And when they left, I thought they went back to their suite. That's why I panicked…."

"You two must be tired…" interrupted Madam Alecia. "Go and have a rest…."

Jacob stayed and talked to his father.

Angeline came back alone to her room. She was pacing back and forth before she decided to change into a hoodie long, sleeve shirt, and sweatpants. She was tying her hair into a ponytail when Jacob came in.

"Going somewhere?" He asked, eyeing her clothes.

"Yep, just a quick one. I'll be back--"

"Where to?"

She lowered her eyes while considering her response.
