Chapitre 175: Parting

"GET… OUT… OF MY WAY!"

Ragnar roared and charged towards Cyanide, but the assassin only smirked. This brute's movements were far too clunky to ever hit him.

"Too slo-" Cyanide began, but suddenly, he felt something pierce into his body. Not from Ragnar—not from the front. But… it was from the back.

"Ngh…!" Quickly dodging out of the way of Ragnar's attack, he glanced down to see a sharp arrow sticking out of his chest, mere inches away from his heart. The wound wasn't lethal, but it was enough to stall Cyanide from doing anything else for the time being.

The arrow came from behind him, judging from the way the arrow was lodged. And sure enough, turning his head around, he saw the war veteran from earlier standing on top of a hill in the distance, holding a crossbow in his hand. Cyanide had been so caught up in his sadistic side that he'd failed to detect that man's presence, even if it was a long distance away.
