Leandre stood frozen in place, his eyes fixated on the girl who had been haunting his dreams for quite some time. She stood in the doorway, her eyes fixed upon him. His own gaze drifted down to his wrist, his birthmark now still and tranquil like a placid lake. Yet, beneath the surface, a tempestuous storm raged within him. His heart and mind were in unison, both screaming the same message: she was the missing piece to his puzzle, the one he had been searching for all his life.

As he traced his steps back to the beginning, he realized he had received the correct signal all along - from the plant nursery to this very moment. Yet, he had been too consumed by one detail, the missing half wing on her wrist, to see the truth that had been staring at him all this time. It was a bitter pill to swallow, knowing that he had been deceived by a false woman when the real one had been before him playing the game of hide and seek.
