Chapitre 37: Bold Red Lipstick

Clary scoffed at him, watching him stride away with purpose and confidence as if his grace could give competition to Ballerina dancers. 

"Try in Google? What does he think he is... A red carpet celebrity?" Clary muttered and turned to leave.

Unbeknownst to her, a man obscured by a dark mask was watching her every move from the safety of a nearby Crete tree. His piercing gaze followed Clary as she walked towards her car. He waited for a good minute in silence, gazing intently at her scowling and pouting face.

With a half-smile, he slunk away towards a black car. As he settled into the driver's seat, his eyes flickered to the wooden box sitting on the back seat stamped with a foreboding warning that read 'do not open'. A wry smile tugged at the corners of his lips. "Fools!" He muttered.

Meanwhile, Clary knocked on the car window, interrupting the chauffeur, who was sleeping with his head resting heavily on the driver's seat.
