She actually wasn't asleep but was just pretending which is part of her strategy to lie close to him in his arms. But she didn't expect he will actually lay her down.

Petro smiled awkwardly upon hearing Linda, he thought she was actually asleep and was about to strike a conversation with Esmeralda and she won't try to interrupt nor get in the way for him.

Esmeralda shake her head, poor Petro, he is tied up with a crazy woman by his side. "What? You were sleeping so Petro laid you down to rest properly."

"Is that so baby?" Linda purposely asked Petro.

"Well of course Linda, that's so and I was just trying to get comfortable so I can enjoy myself too, what? Didn't you also had your fill that's why you were sleeping?" Petro tried getting out of the hole Linda has put him through.
