I don't think I could handle another jousting competition. I don't know how wives did this. To see someone that you love to mount a horse and have the image of them skewered by a lance. I felt my throat tighten as Carlisle placed me down in the tent. "Would you help me?" He asked as he started to undo his armor. He had told everyone to leave, just keeping the two of us. 

"Of course!" I sprung to my feet as my fingers undid the latches. They were trembling, I realized and I wondered if he noticed. My eyes couldn't leave him as I touched the indent where the Crown Prince had tried to place his javelin through. My heart skipped a beat.
