Esme's eyes widened, and she instantly stopped in her tracks, shifting on the spot and bowing down to the ground, her head pressing into the dirt upon seeing a woman dressed in silver robes, her hair falling down in waves as dark as the night sky with small sparkling gold and silver stars scattered among the locks. Her features were stunning, her milky skin almost shimmering like the moon, her eyes a startling golden colour and across her cheeks were silver markings of the moon's phases.
It was the Moon Goddess.
The Moon Goddess stepped into her path. Esme did not need to question who it was; even with her past memories as Nyx, who conversed with Selene on many occasions, anyone could tell who the ethereal being was before her. Esme kept her eyes lowered, her mind spinning on what the Goddess could possibly want after all these years.
