Indeed, Holmes executed the prisoners while we were gone. The subdued attitude that the nobles were displaying was likely from them being too scared to do or say anything that might get them in trouble. I gathered that they would be frightened of their king for a little while. At least, until the memories of the executions faded.
"I wonder if he did anything special while taking their lives." I commented as I watched the men and women around the noble district.
"No, he just made it clear that they need to follow along with the way things are done now. We're ushering in a new era, and it's all thanks to you, Addie." Hollis was grinning as we walked and talked together.
"It's not just because of me." I told him as I looked around then at him. "The world needed to change. The gods knew it and so did others. I'm just the catalyst. The messenger. Everyone else is part of this too."
