***ADDIE'S POV***

"If I offer you all the ability to turn against Talmidge, to choose your own path. To fight against him. What would you do? Would you choose this new path in life? Or would you stay loyal to your master."

"I don't think any of us needs to think about that much." Winters stepped toward the barrier. "We would all leave. None of us wish to side with Talmidge." At that, he put his hand on the barrier, just to brace himself. However, he didn't expect what happened next.

Winters's hand passed through the barrier. Since he was leaning on that hand, bracing his weight on it, he passed right through the barrier and fell to the floor. His entire upper body now on this side of the barrier. 

As Winters scrambled to his feet, nervous and uncertain of what to do, he unwittingly climbed the rest of the way out of his barrier. When he was standing once again, he first looked down at his hands then up at me.
