***ADDIE'S POV***
The banquet was harder than I thought it would be. I had meant to go to everyone, to tell them all that I enjoyed my time with them, and I will never forget them, but it was so hard to tell the people, the ones from other nations, that I will never forget them.
A lot of them were people I might never see again. They weren't enemies, but they weren't friends either. And that was the worst part of it all. I wanted to be able to keep those promises, but there was almost no way I could.
Still, I did my best to be kind and respectful of my underclassmen. They needed to keep their morale up and lead the school the following year. They would be the ones to set the examples, to be the top students, and to guide the future. My time here at the Academy was done, and I was passing that torch off to them.
"There she is." I heard a familiar voice call out to me.
"Ax!" I smiled as he and Kingston walked slowly toward me.
