"Oh my goodness, Addie, you look wonderful." Juliana, who had been standing next to Callum, came running over to me the moment that Nolan and I entered the room. "This is so amazing. I knew that you would look amazing. Callum, doesn't she look amazing?" She didn't look back at him as she asked that question.

"Yes, she looks very beautiful. What do you think, Nolan?" they seemed to be playing pass the compliment and I was the baton that was being passed among them.

"I already told her that she was beautiful." There was a hint of laughter in Nolan's voice. It was almost enough to make me wonder if he was laughing about it being a joke. Almost, but not quite. I knew that he wasn't like that, so I didn't need to worry about it too much.
