He emerged from the creature, holding his sword. The beast let out a gut-wrenching cry before swaying side to side and falling to the ground with a loud thud raising dust. He clenched the armrest until his knuckles turned white. 

Qie Xieling staggered out of the belly of the beast. When he saw Luo Muchen still lying on the ground he rushed over. He knelt beside him and checked his pulse. He was alive. "Chen-ge, wake up," he said his blood-stained hand rubbing his chest. 

"Lin Lin!" yelled Jolie as she ran over. She had been running the entire way following where there was the most trouble. That was after all the premise of this competition. Qie Xieling and Luo Muchen were being targeted so to find them one just had to look for where there was the largest commotion.
