After they finished eating dinner that night, they all went to their rooms to call it a night.
"I'll go freshen up," Julia said, and Caiden looked at her before sitting on the bed. She went to freshen up, and he lay back on the bed, staring up at the ceiling, lost in his thoughts about everything going on in their lives.
He knew a battle to protect the kingdom and those they cared about was coming, and there was no way to avoid it.
After a while, Julia had finished taking her bath and got dressed then came out and Caiden looked at her.
"You can go now," she said, and he smiled before getting up and going to freshen up while she opened the balcony door and went outside for some fresh air.
'This feels nice,' Julia thought as she closed her eyes, but all she could feel was anger, she sighed and reopened them with a frown on her face.
