Chapitre 34: Guy within
After Ethan and Alre decided that Julia will not be joining them, Ethan showed them to her room and Julia liked hers, she had a perfect view of the city and her room was very spacious.
"I like my room, thanks your highness," Julia said.
"You are welcome, if you need anything, you can get a servant or come to me" he replied and she smiled.
"I will keep that in mind," she said.
"Good, oh and since it's now night, in a few they will be serving dinner in the meantime you can get snacks, help yourself to anything" he replied.
"I will, be careful, both of you," she said and Alre looked at her.
"We will" Ethan replied and she smiled as they walked out of the room and she sat on the couch.
"I have a bad feeling about us being here," Julia said to herself with a frown.
"You are a long way from home dark one" a voice said and Julia's body trembled.
'Who's there?" Julia asked.
"Someone that you will be meeting soon" the voice responded and then disappeared and Julia swallowed deeply.
"I am already not liking those one bit, this time I won't hesitate to kill too," Julia said and her eyes glowed as she laid back on the bed and sighed.
While Julia was resting Alre and Ethan went down to the living room and Alre sat down.
"Here you might want to wear armor, I don't know what this thing is and I really do hope to see it tonight," Ethan said and Alre sighed then put on his armor.
"Where are we going?" Alre asked.
"Just in the city but this time, since it's already getting late, people are still out but we have to keep an eye out" Ethan responded.
"Alright come on," Alre said as he got up.
'Are you sure you don't want to bring the girl along to see if she knows anything?" he asked and Alre looked at him sternly.
'And risk putting her life in danger? no thanks," he responded.
"We will be there to protect her," he said and Alre sighed.
"Nope, she would be no use out there anyway, come on" Alre replied then walked away and Ethan sighed and followed him quietly.
'I just hope what we are dealing with can be handled easily" Alre said as they went to the city and saw the people having fun and the streets in the city were filled with bright lights.
"I guess they added more lights," Alre said and Ethan, some of them are really good people, and yeah they did, they know how to protect" he replied and Alre smiled.
'At least certain things changed since the last time I came here" Alre said as he stopped by the tavern and sat at the front.
'What do you really think of your so-called maid Alre?" Ethan asked.
"Not so-called, she is my maid nothing more, well probably a friend too" he responded.
"The main question here is Alre do you trust her or not?" he asked and the prince sighed.
"I have no reason not to trust her man.. she saved my life as a return favor for saving hers I guess or whatever either way she saved my life" he responded and Ethan smiled.
'Therefore she is capable of protecting herself if she can you" he said and Alre scoffed.
"Yeah, she is" he replied as the lights started flickering in the city and the people stopped making noises, everything went into silence.
"I take it this is what we have been waiting for Ethan?" Alre asked as he stood up and took out his sword and soo doid Ethan.
"Precisely" he responded as they saw a dark smoke and everyone got scared someone even ran into the random building and locked themselves in and soon enough the streets were empty.
"I don't think this is something we can fight," Alre said as the smoke came in front of them and Alre saw a figure within it as both of the boys were going to strike and with one flush of breeze, the darkness sent both of them flying across the street and at the same time Julia flung up from the bed with her eyes glowing black.
'Prince Alre" the person within the black smoke said and Alre along with Ethan stood up.
"It knows you," Ethan said.
'I can see that be quiet" Alre replied.
"That's not a smoke, it's something else," Ethan said.
"What do you want and how do you know me?" Alre asked and the person laughed.
"The only thing that I want is.. uh... I can't tell you but I will get it very soon and another is to kill you people" the person responded and Alre pointed his sword at it.
'I will have your head" Alre replied and the person laughed as the darkness formed a ball and it was going towards them when something grabbed both of them from behing=d and shoved them aside and they fell on the ground then all of a sudden the ball stopped moving.
'What the hell?" Alre shouted as they turned around and he saw Julia standing there and Ethan gasped.
'Why did you stop?" Julia asked and the ball disappeared then she smiled wickedly.
"Julia what are you doing here? have you gone crazy?" Alre shouted and she raised her right brow then looked at him.
"Are you stupid?" she asked and he sighed.
'You can't fight against something like this" she said.
'Agreed" both Ethan and Alre said then she smiled.
"Good, I take it you were the voice in the room?" she asked and the person laughed.
"How come you came here?" the person asked and Julia folded her cuffs in anger.
"I asked you a question" she responded.
"Fair enough, yes it was sort of" the person responded.
"You are a guy within the darkness that is clearly not smoke," she said as she looked at Alre and Ethan then they turned away blowing whistles as the darkness around the guy disappeared.
