His eyelids were heavy and even the light of the red moon seemed to bother him. His throat ached, and dry while his body for a few seconds didn't feel like his own. He blinked a few times trying to adjust only to recognize the ceiling as one of those in the royal palace. The intricate designs and the expensive chandelier could only be found there. 

The vampire attempted to get up but piercing pain stopped him, making a hiss escape from his chapped lips. He fell back into the soft mattress while the excited voice of a woman invaded his ears. She was too loud for her own good. 

"It worked." she exclaimed happily and the next second a familiar face was hovering above him.

"Finally, we have been waiting for days." Kai told him looking at him happily. "How are you feeling?" he asked.
