Dinner was strictly served after the sunset. That day though since they had guests his mother, the one who strictly organized this extravagant dinner had other plans. She wanted to make a good impression or more appropriately a display of power, subtly she wanted to show that her kind was above theirs. Not only just strength but in beauty and luxury. That's why she had chosen this specific room for them to have dinner. 

It was a circular room with a tall ceiling. The walls were made of glass, showing the green gardens outside, his mother's black roses were the main spectacle of the view while the red sun set slowly, creating a red sky that mixed with orange and yellow finishing off with the beginning of the night, a deep blue color. It was as if the sky was set on fire, burning all around them.
