Chapitre 42: AGREED
Lucas nodded gesturing for Adrian to ask anyway.
'What could he ask which I couldn't be able to give answer anyway?" Lucas confidently thought while he proudly look at Adrian.
Oh boy! he didn't know how wrong he was!
Adrian didn't just ask a question instead he dropped a bomb on Lucas.
" Brother normally boys have a reaction to girls but in my case, my first reaction was to you. So does that mean I am gay?" Adrian tilt his head while his eyes were full of confusion and innocence, he asked such a dangerous question to Lucas making him dumbstruck.
" No!" Lucas cried making Adrian laugh secretly at his brother Lucas who didn't know what he has brought upon himself.
" Why? Brother Lucas, you have done a doctorate in both eastern and western medicine and know almost everything regarding medicine so you should know when a boy has a reaction to a boy that means that person is gay. So why would you say no, or am I sick or something?" Adria softly asked. Each word was like a thorn pricking his heart.
Now Lucas doesn't know what to say. If he says he was sick, how could having a reaction to the same-gender be sickness, loving anybody wasn't a crime and it's your personal choice to like anybody you want but as far as he knows they don't like each other romantically so how should he give the answer. If he says he wasn't, then how could he explain to Adrian why he has such a reaction to the person of same-sex.
Lucas was confused and frustrated as he thinks of the situation. He once again looks at Adrian only to find worries, confusion and trust towards him in his eyes. He can't let Adrian down. Lucas was so deep in thought about how to not let Adrian down that he didn't even notice the deep dark predatory look in Adrian's eyes which seems to gleam with the thought of trapping his prey.
'It's all because I have overdone my teasing that now I have to bear heaven's punishment,' Lucas thought internally.
Now that it comes to this he has to bear responsibility and should think of the ways saving Adrian from being bend because of his small teasing.
No offence to all my beloved gay friends if Adrian has become bend by others or because he loves someone then Lucas wouldn't have minded at all but he couldn't bear his 'younger brother' to become bend because of his mindless teasing.
" Look, Adrian, like I mention earlier in your puberty days it's normal for you to have such a reaction with small teasing so it's normal ok," Lucas spoke with utmost care. He peeks at Adrian only to find him confused and lost.
" Brother Lucas I am confused and scared," Adrian tremble as his eyes were full of unshed tears which make him look so pitiable that Lucas's heartaches.
But he didn't notice was Adrian's slightly tugged lips.
" There isn't anything to be scared of, in this phase of life many teenagers get confused by their sexuality, you would eventually know with the period," Lucas rub Adrian's soft hair while ensuring him.
" Oh!" Adrian said as he nodded his head as if he was finally enlightened.
Lucas was relieved thinking Adrian has understood but his next sentence cause Lucas's heart to tremble nonstop.
" Ok, I would conduct an experiment to confirm my sexuality," Adrian determinedly said.
" Huh! How?" Lucas was confused at first so he unconsciously asked Adrian.
" It's simple," Adrian said looking innocent and naive but to Lucas, he was like a time bomb whose next decision may cause undesirable damage.
" Since my little brother has a reaction to a boy, I would ask a boy to be my boyfriend and note the reaction I would have towards him," Adrian positively answered.
" No!" Lucas hurriedly rejected.
" How could you do this, what if that person take advantage of you in that period, no you can't," Lucas firmly rejected and tried to logic with Adrian.
How could he let Adrian do this, Adrian was handsome and charming, he has the best background too so what if his experimental boyfriend took advantage of him and blackmail him when he broke with that person.
Lucas can't let Adrian do such a thing.
" But I want to confirm my sexuality. If in the future I married a girl and then I know my sexuality, wouldn't it be harmful to me and her future? so I have to do this. It's only that what brother Lucas said is also right, if only I could find someone whom I could trust to be my boyfriend, haa."
But how could Adrian let Lucas pursue him? He was in the last phase to trap his prey so he did his best to look reasonable as he debate with Lucas. However, he also didn't forget to agree with Lucas's thoughts. He looked so pitiable, confuse and sad that Lucas doesn't know what to do or say to ease Adrian's mind.
' Now brother Lucas plz agree and be my boyfriend,' Adrian thought while maintaining his mortified face.
He once again peeked at Lucas as if he was scared of the situation.
Lucas didn't know what to do. He was so busy thinking of the solution that he didn't even notice the eagerness and anticipation on Adrian's face.
if one observed them, then they would give a round of applause to Adrian for his outstanding acting and would say he was the best-deserved heir. for the Hemsworth entertainment industry.
Lucas took a deep breath and finally prepare himself to take the responsibility for all the things he had made a mess of.
" You don't have to go anywhere to find a boyfriend," Lucas stated with great difficulty while looking at Adrian.
" Huh" Adrian confusedly asked. As if he wasn't the one eagerly waiting for Lucas to agree.
Lucas couldn't properly look at Adrian. He was embarrassed with his decision but he could only grit and do this.
" I will be your bo.....boyfr...boyfriend!" Lucas stutters as he voices his willingness to be Adrian's boyfriend.
" Really! cough cough.....really?" Adrian excitedly looked at Lucas but when he thought about their situation he finally calm down.
He solemnly looked at Lucas to confirm.
Lucas hesitantly nodded.
"I will be your boyfriend for a month and in that time you have to confirm your sexuality," Lucas time-specified their relationship.
He didn't want to romantically tangle with Adrian too much but he had to do it. He can't let other take advantage of Adrian's naivety and innocence so he had to do it.
After all, he was the one who cause all this mess but what he didn't know was he was just a prey who was gently lured into the trap.
Adrian was upset with a month of time but was determined to win over Lucas heart, mind and everything in this month.
Finally, they let go of the topic and had a small discussion for a few more minutes about what should they gift Joey for her birthday then they retired to their room to sleep.
However, when they were about to finally get into their bed and sleep Adrian once again open his mouth to leave Lucas daze.
