Chapitre 53: LIII : her enemies
The girl ignored her supposed glared. The girl looked ahead without staring at anything in particular.
"I will bring two tigers forward now, you need to be extra careful not to startle them in anyway," the girl warned her before placing two of her fingers in her mouth.
"Uh?!" Aurora asked wide in disbelieve.
"Or should I bring a wolf?" the girl impatiently.
"No," Aurora replied. She was not pleased by the two encounters she had with wolves or werewolves in their wolf form.
The first time, they killed her family before her and the second time; it was as though she was being hypnotized into letting a wolf lead the way.
The girl whistled softly but loud enough for the air to carry the sound faraway. In less than two seconds, footsteps could be heard as two tigers approached them.
They were really large and this was the first time she was seeing a living tiger. Her fiancée once gave her a gift of a coat made of tiger's skin.
Seeing the animal now, she knew whoever killed that tiger had to be really brave and her fiancé claimed he did it. If he really did it himself then he was a very strong man and not the calm intellectual Duke he claims to be.
"We need to hurry," the girl said taking their little luggage towards the tigers that remained calm in their presence but Aurora was considering whether to approach or not.
She took a deep breath and followed the girl. She knew it was her fault. If only she had stayed in the cave, then they would have been able to avoid any of these.
The horses she needed earlier were gone and they would most likely have been a very bad choice especially since she had no touch or even knew the direction through the dark woods.
"Hey, we can't be too slow. I have the power to control every animal. I am sure they won't hurt you. Those people are close by. You smell of their brother in arm's blood right now. Put this over you," the girl said giving her a coat.
Aurora took the coat and draped it around her shoulder before walking to the side of one of the tigers. The girl mounted and she did too.
She could only guess that this tigers and different from the tiger they killed to make her coat. They appeared larger or perhaps it was just her imagination.
They were soon racing between the trees through the night with the cold night breeze blowing through their hairs as they headed out of the forest far from the dead body of the man Aurora had just killed on a very fast speed that she has never gone one before.
She had a very good review of the journey they travelled on the tigers. It was smoother and swifter than travelling with a horse and she will possibly have rated it a nine out of ten.
When the tigers returned back in the woods, it was already dawn. She turned to the little girl hoping to make her gaze as meaningful as she could.
"I know what you are thinking but that is never going to happen. They are not going to travel through the day and at night, I won't stress them," the girl replied avoiding the princess's gaze.
Aurora said nothing but gave her a questioning look that probably had the little girl wonder why then was she stressing the horses they rode on.
The girl tried to ignore her gaze but she found her looking back. "They are weretigers for goodness sake. They hate you. They are my friends too and if you ever see those tigers again, run for your life. They will kill you to avenge what you did to our king," the little girl decided to tell her the truth.
"Weretigers?" Aurora was forced to ask. That was something she had never heard of or read in the hundreds of books she was forced to read.
"Yes, only the king and I know about them. They are the guardians of this forest. They have existed long before the Alpha king descended. They were a tribe but they were soon killed off.
"They don't possess any spiritual power like werewolves. They could be killed easily when compared to a werewolf. They are under the protection of the king. They are the only ones existing now. All their family members were killed off as time went by.
"They are nice people but the reason why they are alive today is because of the Alpha king and you tried to kill him, I bet they won't hesitate to kill you when next they meet you even if it will most likely cost their life."
"Aren't you scared that I will tell my people about them the moment I escape and have them all killed?" Aurora asked.
The girl scoffed as she continued walking ahead towards the trying to pass by the town ahead of them.
"Wait . . . Aren't you scared. You have told me almost everything about the werewolves and other creatures including yourself. Aren't you scared that I will have the world hunt you all with the right method including your king and Alpha?"
Aurora was displeased that the girl looked down on her so much that she did not consider her a threat. She hastened her footstep and walked beside the girl who carried their luggage.
"You can never kill our alpha. You might succeed in killing our king but you will never be able to kill our alpha. He was bestowed the strength of immortality and eternal life by the moon goddess."
"I can kill him. I almost killed only few weeks ago," Aurora said confidently. That was what her teacher told him.
"Do you know our king is the only element of humanity our Alpha has now. You can probably imagine what will happen to your kingdom is anything happens to the king and the alpha is left roam freely?
"I guess those who thought you about supernatural did not know about this little secret."
Aurora did not believe anything the girl just said. She could kill the alpha with the knife she was armed with and no matter what anyone says, she will make that happen.
