Chapitre 17: 69

"If I may ask, where are we going?" Theo whispered to one of the guards walking beside him.

He didn't respond. They continued to walk down the hallway in silence. Theo suddenly had the thought that something was wrong. Maybe him killing Cole wasn't a win-win decision after all.

There was nothing for him to do now except to accept whatever that came. Theo obediently followed the king without saying another word.

They must have had walked across the entire castle by this point, Theo thought, and yet everything around him looked almost the exact same as where they had begun.

Finally, they reached the end of a hallway. There were no other places to go now except for the one wooden door at the end.

"Wait outside," King William said to the four guards.

The guards nodded and formed two lines in front of the door. King William pushed it open and gestured toward Theo to follow him inside.
