Chapitre 9: Unexpected Turnout

Cole's eyes began widening in fear as the crack in the blade of his rapier grew larger and larger. The ringing clashes of the contacting blades were starting to have a shattering noise to them.

"Stop this! Your dagger is going to break!" Cole yelled.

"As long as it doesn't break before yours, I am fine with it!" Theo yelled back.

Theo's dagger, a gift from Adelyn some years ago, was holding up much better than Cole's ornately golden rapier engraved in rosy patterns, which were not helping in enhancing the durability of the sword.

The edge of Theo's blade was forming a fairly big chip from the repeated impacts, but unlike Cole's rapier, it didn't show any sign of cracking.

From the increased vibrations emanating from the strikes, Theo could tell that it wasn't going to be long before Cole's rapier.

Soon enough, Theo's strike broke through Cole's rapier and snapped it in half.
