Chapitre 33: D and SSS

Life is a curse, love makes it worse.

Life is a blessing, love makes it worth living.

Two arguments, different meanings.

One is implying that life is a curse while the other is saying that life is a blessing.

But what if someone saw something that was a blessing but a curse too.

Something like this happened to Dreamer.

When he used his skill, God's Eye on Liberi's sword he saw something that can be considered a curse and a blessing too.

[ Rank : D (Normal) ]

[ Description : This sword belongs to the general of Demon King. This sword can only be used by those people who have demon blood in their veins. ]

"What do you mean by that, my lord? Blessing? Curse?" asked Liberi as he was confused about what Dreamer said after seeing his sword.

"Liberi..it's not a S rank sword!" replied Dreamer while finally calming himself down.

"What? It's impossible! My lord, there must be a mistake?" said Liberi while he shook his head as he was not able to believe that his sword wasn't a S rank sword.

"Wait a second, Idiot! Let me finish first. Your sword isn't a S rank sword but it is a goddamn SSS rank sword!" revealed Dreamer as he looked into Liberi's eyes.

"Oh! Wait, what? How? There must be a mistake, my lord." said Liberi again in a shocked manner as he was again doubting Dreamer's words.

"Are you doubting your master?" asked Dreamer in a serious manner as he was getting annoyed by Liberi's behaviour regarding Dreamer's proclamations about the sword.

After hearing what Dreamer said, Liberi moved his head downwards and spoke in a respectful manner.

"Not at all, my lord. It was just my shocked state that was talking. If you say it's a SSS rank sword then it's a SSS rank sword. Discussions end."

"No, no. I will still give you proof." said Dreamer as he rejected Liberi's apology and looked at Liberi's sword again.

Liberi's sword was not glowing red right now as he had stopped pouring his mana on it. So right now his sword was in normal state.

"Liberi! Right now, your sword is in normal state as it is not glowing red and you may feel surprised again but in this normal state this sword's rank is just a D!" revealed Dreamer but before Liberi can say anything he continued.

"And that's not all. Do you know who this sword belonged to originally?" asked Dreamer as he raised his eyebrows while looking at Dreamer.

"No, my lord" replied Liberi as he listened curiously to Dreamer's revelations.

"This sword originally belonged to the Demon King's General! And somehow you accidentally got your hands on it. Whether you get lucky or unlucky! Whether it's a blessing or a curse! Only the future will tell." revealed and iterated Dreamer as he was not sure whether it's good to have a Demon King's General sword in possession or not.

Dreamer didn't tell Liberi about the demon's blood part as he will reveal that part when he meets Liberi's parents in person.

"My lord! Demon King's General sword? Are you sure? No, I am not doubting you or anything but how do you get such information just by looking at the sword?" asked Liberi as he was not sure how Dreamer obtained such information just by looking at the sword.

"I will tell you that tomorrow. Don't worry. And now I want you to pour your mana on the sword again." ordered Dreamer while pointing towards the SSS rank sword again as he wants to tell something more about the sword.

After Dreamer's command Liberi just nodded and started pouring mana on the sword again.

The sword again started glowing red, an eye opened again between the handle and the blade and just like last time the sword started emitting an ominous aura.

"Now. When your sword is like this. I mean, when the sword is in red colour then this state is called the awake state! And in the awake state its rank is.." spoke Dreamer as he continued after taking a deep breath.

"SSS!"

After Dreamer revealed this Liberi became silent for a few good seconds as if he was digesting the information that Dreamer gave him.

Dreamer also didn't interrupt Liberi as he was waiting for the information to completely go inside Liberi's mind.

And after a few seconds Liberi stopped pouring his mana on the sword and the sword returned to its normal state.

And when the sword fully returned to its normal state Liberi spoke in a resolute manner while looking at the sword.

"My lord. I understand..I understand that this sword is of D rank and SSS rank and this sword originally belongs to the Demon King's General. But!" After saying this Liberi looked at Dreamer as he continued in a more resolute tone than before.

"But, now that I have it, I won't give it to anyone. This sword chose me and I chose this sword. So, it's not going anywhere.

And if the Demon King's General comes to get his hands on this sword again I will fight him head on and even die but I will make sure that this sword remains with me till my last breath."

Dreamer was surprised by Liberi's resolution towards the sword and his eyes were also filled with absolute determination.

Seeing this, Dreamer just sighed and spoke in a helpless manner.

"Fine! I understand! From now on, this sword belongs to you and if you are so passionate about this sword then why not give it a name?" advised Dreamer as he casually gave a suggestion to Liberi.

But after hearing this, Liberi started acting like a little kid.

"My lord! It's such a great idea! Why didn't I think of that! My lord you are great!" praised Liberi as he liked Dreamer's suggestion but before Dreamer could say anything, Liberi spoke again in an enthusiastic tone.

"My lord. Why not, you bestow a name to my sword!? It will be an honour for me to use a weapon named by you. Please!"

Dreamer again was surprised by Liberi's request as he thought that Liberi would give a name on his own for his sword but he chose Dreamer instead to name his sword.

This made Dreamer happy as Liberi is prioritising him before his sword. So, as a reward for Liberi's loyalty Dreamer decided to give a name to Liberi's sword.

He started thinking about a perfect name for Liberi's sword as he didn't want to give a lame name to a SSS rank sword so he was taking his time to decide on a name.

And after a few good minutes he said,

"Liberi!"

"Yes my lord!" said Liberi enthusiastically as he thought that Dreamer was ready with a name for his sword.

"You see, we stole this sword from Vrama who was a snake, and that too a really poisonous one.

And I nearly died from his poison so the name should be the one that reminds us of our struggle to get our hands on this sword.

So, after a lot of thinking that I did in just one minute. I finally decided on a name that befits this sword.

And the name that I have thought of is…" said Dreamer and while looking at Liberi's sword, he finally revealed the name that he had decided in a vehement manner.

"VENOM!!"
