"Are you alright?" Noah managed to ask that one question to her.

"Do I look other wise?" She asked back as she flipped to the other page of the book.

"Laura, I know what I did was extremely wrong and be apologizing to you won't make any difference but I want you to know that I am genuinely sorry."

"You don't have to be." She answered rather coldly.

"At least look at me, please let me explain."

"Zed, you don't owe me an explanation for anything. It was my fault that I suddenly decided to depend on you before even knowing your real self. What we were supposed to have was strict business relationship and I kind of messed it up." She was the one who explained things to him.

"Hmm but I should have checked on you after leaving you in such a bad state. I should have been more responsible."
