Silence lingers in my study as I await her response to the story of our past and why I did what I did. I truly thought I was doing right by her. I believed she would have been better without me, but seeing her these past few days made me realize how wrong I was. She is strong, so much stronger than I ever gave her credit for and I should have realized that five years ago. I have no idea what I’m going to do if she turns away from me. She has every right too, that I know. I watch a string of emotions play across her face that varies from anger to sadness however the look on her face I don’t know. She gets up and walks towards me so I stand to meet her as I inwardly prepare for the tongue lashing she is undoubtedly going to give me. When she reaches me I suck in a breath and still as she leans in close and does the very last thing I expect.
