“I wanted to see how you liked the place.”

“Oh you mean the shrine of our past? It’s ridiculous, and petty. Why the hell would you do that?”

“I wanted you to be comfortable.”

“Well this was not the way to do it. All it did was remind me of why I hate you.” I look up and see he is now smiling. WTF, anger spreads through my body as my frustration builds stronger than it should. “Why the hell are you smiling?”

“You can’t hate someone you don’t also love. Therefore, you must still love me.” The moment his words left his mouth I saw red. Anger, frustration and pure sadness swelled up inside of me. I don’t even remember grabbing the vase, but before I know it I am throwing a beautiful white vase directly at Birsha’s handsome head. He ducks just in time and the vase shatters against the wall behind him.
